About puzzle pieces .. news from Hay Day Support

I've separately made a similar comment to one of the SC Community Managers, pointing out that the recent event gave puzzle pieces as prizes (of course, I didn't receive them, as I have all sanctuary animals).

I suspect that Team Hay Day are beginning to get the message about pps - fingers crossed! 🤞

For a moment I was intrigued to see a puzzle piece sign appear on my dock when I sent a boat this morning. Then I realised that it's greyed out on the boat details, so another non-event for me! I really don't mind that; it's good that other players have the opportunity to collect more pps.

I understood it to mean that we’d be able to store them.. but we would need a purpose to storing them which can only mean more new sanctuary animals, so it’s a), b) and c) I guess 🤷‍♀️ 

The same would apply to chick vouchers, once we collect all our pets (I need to get one final one, a cockatoo). A farm pass trail with puzzle pieces and/or chick vouchers that we have no use for doesn’t fill me with excitement.

I really don’t want any more sanctuary animals and my book is completed. I want to keep the sense of completion of having all the animals. I rather they give us another use for the puzzle pieces or a different prize. I’d be happy if I got 5 bolts instead of the puzzle piece I don’t need. Or maybe just give us blueprints instead of puzzle pieces. I don’t use blueprints myself but that seems fair to me if they give us more custom decos.

I feel like it’s a tough call for Supercell since every time they add more land, sanctuary animals, or birds, they get all kinds of complaints saying, “I’ll NEVER finish all this!!! it will take YEARS to unlock all land/birds/animals. Make it easier to get vouchers/puzzles/scrolls!!! This is just a pure money grab!!!!!”

On the other hand, if they stop adding land, sanctuary animals, or birds, then they will have complaints like this.

I already have all sanctuary animals, I only need 1 more bird, and in about 8 months, I’ll have all land unlocked. I’m already wondering if the farm pass will be worth it for me. If all the land is open and I have everything else, I’m going to want something more myself or I won’t see a need for the farm pass—and maybe not even a reason to keep playing.

Not sure what the solution is, but it seems like a dilema for Supercell.

The good news is that the current farm pass had no puzzle pieces at all for me, on any of the 3 paths. 

I had some on last month's farmpass, but I completed my final sanctuary animal during that month, so at the time of buying the pass I still needed puzzle pieces. 

Being allowed to collect and hold just a few puzzle pieces, pending new animals, would address that issue.  There could be a limit set, in a similar way to the one set for blueprints.  It's frustrating to "collect" items that disappear.  

Thanks Cowslips, I agree certainly. At least being able to store the puzzles with a quota would be fine. 

I think that the answer from support is disappointing as it was not addressing the concern of the OP. It has happened to me as well. I just hope that the support addresses our concerns and/or questions as we all love this game, some players even spend money so their problems should be solved in case something goes wrong. Moreover, having a true and caring support (like the other reputable games providers) will be fair to the players, and it will create good-will on the players. Receiving answers, which I think only aims to give just an answer, or blaming the internet connection when there is a bug etc. makes me feel sad and unmotivated to spend money on the game. But, of course, this is how I feel. 

I am sorry as you cannot store the puzzles (good that you did not have puzzles on the farm-pass at least). My safari animals are not complete so I am not affected, but I want to complete because I really love the nature that comes with the animals.


It seems that some news about the safari animals are on the way (I think I saw it here). It will be really good if SC also gives land in town including safari section.
