I always thought, the bird house can hold 10 birds. Now I have 11 birds and I have the impression, one bird, pour thing, always stays hungry. Fortunately it‘s not always the same bird. It's time for a new bird house, how about one that looks a bit different?

It's time for a new bird house, how about one that looks a bit different? I just got my 13th bird, and my feeding routine has been strange since number 11 arrived. In the past I would wake my birds, fill up the bucket and leave them. Eventually all would eat and go to sleep. Nowadays 10 of them eat, and the other 3 get very grumpy! As you've observed, it's not always the same birds who are "late to the party". When I add more food to the bucket I try to do it quickly. I find that if a bird is eating I can't add food to the bucket until it's finished. Another house would be nice, but in the meantime it's another slight adjustment to how I play.

I have noticed the same since I have more than 10 birds.

Good to know, though, even if I am miles from having too many birds.

The feeder only holds 10 feed but you can still feed all 13. I leave it filled with 10 food and when I come back later 10 birds have eaten out of it and 3 are still waiting to be fed. I add 3 more food to it and the last 3 eat. Then I fill it up with 10 food again and wake all 13 up.

The expressions on the faces of the unfed, waiting, birds are amusing. Poor things!
