.....does your chances of getting a diamond improve depending on the tools used?

From what I understand only in so far as that the more ore you mine the more chance of coming across diamonds
So using 5 pickaxes would mine 25 ore
Vs using 5 dynamite would mine 10 ore
According to Wiki there is a 10 diamond a day limit payout from the mine but I've never counted or tested that 😅

Someone did conduct their own test on diamond drops per tool, but I don't recall who. I'll see if I can find any info here on the forum from a while back. Edit- Here's one thread on it by ducktown: justhayday.boards.net/post/5764/thread

I’m of the opinion that it’s not so much the tool, but the XP earned with the ores produced. And of course, only getting 2 ore when using dynamite will produce less XP than if you use a shovel or pickaxe that will yield 4 & 5 ore.
In the end, you can only get 10 diamonds per day.

Sometimes, for me, there's an advantage in using the lower-yield tools. Using dynamite yields 2 ore, but creates 1 space in the barn. If barn space is an issue this can help.

I am not a miner, but in real life, wouldn't a dynamite or TNT yield more ores than using a pickaxe?
