I haven't played with this to figure it out but feel certain someone here has!  1. A boat comes in and it wants 4 crates of 2 gifts. If you fill them yourself you get the holly. BUT, if someone else fills them do you get anything other than being able to send the boat off? Does the person filling get the same holly? 2. If you have, say, a 3 crate booster, will it fill gift boxes or will it fill other crates or a combination? 🤔 if it does fill the gift crates, do you just forfeit any holly? With derby starting soon and boat tasks usually my favorite, I want to make sure I don't cheat myself! Lol Any other observations or info that we should consider.? Thanks in advance! |

I am answering using last year 2022 observations (see thread in Community Guides section). That's the best info we have now on the first day of the event. In general, filling a boat crate give player the rewards showing when tapping on the crate: A coins, B xp, C boat points (if the boat is not on your farm). With the gift crate, instead of B xp, player will get B holly. 1. The person who fills get the holly associated with the crate, regardless on which farm the boat is (yours or someone else's). If you don't fill the crate, you won't get holly. When the Wrapping Station Machine earns its first Mastery start on a farm, the increased amount of Holly will be showed on the boat of the same farm and that's the amount that the filler will get. Boat with flagged crate won't be able to be casted off. My minis do this to help me earn holly last year, given I could catch up with their demand. 2. Booster can fill gift crate last year but won't give you any Holly. (updated as I reread last year guide) Update: test with 2023 edition: I decided to do a test on my boat with Fill Boat Crate booster. Before booster activation, I have: 80 holly, only 1 crate left (a gift crate) on boat After booster activation, I have: 80 holly, gift crate is filled. So same as last year, no holly earned when the crate is filled by booster. |

I think last year we discovered that your % holly increase from machine mastery only applied when filling your own boat crates and not neighbours boat crates
No real info about boat crates but I'd guess if a crate is pre filled by a booster then the holly thatcrate would have given would be forfeit
Edit: Frog above has answered boat crate question, I hope its still true for this year!

Well... I am thinking that boat boosters would not be a good thing. My luck it would fill 4 gift crates and leave me with 8 crates asking for an ungodly amount of milk, jam etc.

I have never seen, that a booster fills all crates with the same product. And the highest booster is a 3 crates booster. So 4 crates can't be filled be a booster. If you fill your boat, leave 3 crates open and then activate your booster, than it fills this 3 crates. So it can be, that 3 similar crates are filled. But every other boats that arrives after activating has filled one crate of each product. Thats the normal way. I have never activated a booster in this event with hollies. But I think it will work the same and fills one crate of each product. |
