I just noticed this with the last derby. Our hood does all 320 pointers, with all nine tasks done. We can't get the ninth horseshoe without buying a tenth. This doesn't seem right to me that the derby can't be completed without spending diamonds. I thought that the derby was balanced so that no matter how many people play, you can get all horseshoes. Thanks.

Yep, I play solo, participated in the champion league this week Have completed all 9 free tasks at 320 which means there are 2 final columns I can't access without buying a 10th task 45 points to next (a ridiculously small amount likely designed to annoy enough to spend the diamonds)  And 306 to final column  I only bother buying a 10th if I'm going to place top 3 It means I get bumped down a lot 😆 |

There are two of us in my NH who derby and we always have to buy an extra task to get the last horseshoe in the champions league.
We do buy it sometimes, depends how we feel. We tend to go up and down in the leagues anyway as we don’t do blossom or mystery derbies.

Not to argue but for the sake of clarification. What you observed is not a bug but par of the design. The situation was even worse before the changes introduced in December 2018 update. Now only team with less than 5 members are impacted. You have the details in this guide from old forum: justhayday.boards.net/thread/38/legacy-derby-points-small-teamThe only positive point I can see is to encourage players to join other hood to form a bigger derby team. |

FrogTHX for your detailed explanation. Although I don't do derbies anymore (for several reasons) I am always interested to learn new and more aspects about our game. Your link to the elaborated comment with a precise schedule is awesome. I didn't knew that. Thanks for letting me know. 👍🙂

Most of the time in CL, always go for 10th task. Sometimes deco for placing top3, sometimes customize deco. Generate enough diamonds from mining. When my stock of diamonds is used I most likely get demoted and will play less.
