430 lbs and used my stack and half the tackle box. One farm. No weight boosters. Have to be done. I hope people find the time. HD did put boosters up (not sure what for, I didn’t get them in case they were for faster nets and ducks and whatnot—if I don’t know they’re what I need I’m not getting them). They sped up all the machines in the fishing area. I saw more of the “right sized circles” on the first few casts than usual. A couple of heavy fish (along with the littles). Deco reward. They also adjusted the goal to a more reasonable one. I was telling hoodie last night, Idk what more HD could have done to help with this event. It’s well put together, imo. I hope people who haven’t yet, can take advantage of the weekend and get a lot done today. They reduced the goal but also reduced the time from 4 days to 3. 🤷♀️ |

When there are 2 events on the event board at a time it is confusing. It’s been reported in the Bugs sub-forum that some farms do not have the fishing event available. My hoodmate that has several baby farms cannot do the fishing event on most of them!!! Even fishing and hoping that may activate the event does not work. Clearly there is an issue. Hoping that SC figures it out.

I didn’t notice the reduced time along with the goal. Bleeeeeehhhhhhh.
The first day I saw the double poster but yesterday and today I only see the one? I hope people know it’s going on. It’s in the event calendar too, right?
Edit: some farms can’t access it?! If so, there’s another bug that needs to be accounted for. Add two days and a free pack of lures and weight boosters.

When there are 2 events on the event board at a time it is confusing. It’s been reported in the Bugs sub-forum that some farms do not have the fishing event available. My hoodmate that has several baby farms cannot do the fishing event on most of them!!! Even fishing and hoping that may activate the event does not work. Clearly there is an issue. Hoping that SC figures it out. Seeing two events on the Event Board isn't an issue for me, but I see how it could be an issue for many players. For example, when a new event has begun, the game announces it with an animation of a flying paper as we log in. Then the players tap the Event Board and see the booster for making fishing lures, but they didn't scroll up to see the concurrent global fishing event aided by the booster event. It's a good idea by Team Hay Day, but I'd like to suggest a fix to the UI issue by reducing the size of the event announcements so the two events are displayed without the need of scrolling. |

I also do not want to be negative but stating that an aspect is not reasonable 'negative'. I today learned that there has been a fishing event going on and some/many people (see reddit) definitely do not seem to be happy with the path of the game.
1. Merging two events under the same event borad is not a good idea. Not everyone can play this game by paying attention, it can easily be missed as I did. is it difficult to announce, make the players aware, within the game, that a fishing event has been going on?
2. Unreasonably high threshold: This is a very high threshold to reach (I do not know if SC gave free 'make fish grave' (or whatever it is called) booster). Valley is going on, some people have preferred valley for permits (throw fishing net - daily thing), some people preferred to skip the event as per the threshold.
I believe they will offer the deco for diamonds or real money later. But if this is called "event", please set reasonable (doable) thresholds for all the events so at least players are encouraged to keep playing. To my memory, recently, whenever the gift was a deco, the threshold was not reached it was too high. Later, the deco was offered for sale... (in my opinion, the game has become mostly about making players to spend money to the extent that the joy of the game is really disappearing).

I can see everyone’s point here and love the information. 5 and a bit hours to go. I have noticed the last round of fishing I was able to catch lots of over 12 to 15 lb fish more than usual. Iv got my fingers crossed for us making it can only hope it will be close if we do. I used my free 6 hour 25 percent boosters used lots of fishing hooks can only see me being able to fish one more round. Iv managed to get 1043 lb personal best if we don’t reach it can only hope it’s in farm fast later on maybe over summer.

We used to make Fishing Event goals all the time until April when it was “broken”. In fact, we used to make all global goals much more often than we did not. And the recent pattern seems to be - and I’m generalising here - diamond reward WIN, deco reward LOSE. Then a few weeks later, the deco is offered for sale. I’m not even suggesting some nefarious goal of SC’s, truly I am not. But jiggering with the times and totals, and the resultant constant losses are becoming wearisome. After fishing 450+ pounds I gave up on the Event long before some of you lovely people.

Of course for the purpose gaining more money through the players. Basically well thought-out. Tighten the goal, taking into account that players will fail the reward/goal more often and subsequent...after some time...offering it with or without diamond packages and real money to spend. But there is a catch....if they overdo things players will react and certainly not how they are supposed to react at the part of SC. The boundary is very thin....and delicate....damage can occur faster than intended. But I don't want to be an "advocatus diaboli"...I am only saying....

Sc use to acknowledge bugs in an event and send Alfred with parcel to players but that seems to also be less and less these days. There is no encouragement for players to spend in game if there is no fair play. It does sux matey for sure.

A couple of my babies couldn’t do the event, no event showing, fish didn’t count, so I knew it was over before it even started since there were many ppl who couldn’t participate. I did just the minimum on my main farm and called it a day.
Taking a break from hay day for a while while they hopefully get the issues fixed. Playing seems just a waste of time anymore.

I strongly dislike the fishing events. If you could see me fishing you definitely would laugh 😂. I’m verbal🤬. I love fishing in real life. So I gave it my best and out of two farms I had over 1,200lbs. I really liked the deco prize. The last two fishing events didn’t work and I was hoping for a win. Considering the glitches some farmers were having I’m not surprised about the outcome. I hope SC reevaluate some things about this event, it is so time consuming. At least we have Halloween to look forward to. Happy farming y’all ‼️👩🏻🌾🚜
