I did. First time I have ever gemmed a machine. It only cost 89 gems so I figured since it was priced like a small deco I outdated splurge and put my oats to use.
Am I dreaming or didn’t the machines used to be 1000+ gems to speed?
Also, and apropos of nothing, why does it bug me so much to say porridge bar instead of oatmeal bar. Or is that just a Canadian thing?

shepherdgirl Congrats to the brand-new machine. I am hesitating due to a lack of space. In my opinion it's currently already marginal on my farm. I don't intend to make it worse. 😬😉

We call it porridge in UK when its in a bowl (or at least in my neck of the woods we do 😆) but we'd call a compressed bar of oats a flapjack
I usually add oats (whole rolled and/or pulsed into flour) into cupcakes along with greek yogurt and either blueberries or apples 😁
I've got the machine under construction, happy to wait the 4 days is it? 🤔 I've already forgotten 😅

Oh! I just looked at the name of it and thought it was making actual oatmeal bars, like granola bars but made with oats. Haha.
While we still call oatmeal usually oatmeal, porridge is not unfamiliar. I’d just never heard of a porridge bar, lol.

I am not spending my precious diamonds on porridge. Maybe on some pretty flowers... Oh, I already have that machine... 😜💐
P. S. Congratulations on your new porridge maker.

Perhaps I was thinking of clash of clans where gemming stuff is 1000+. My hoodmate seemed to think it used to be a few hundred in hay day.

Congratulations to your machine shepherdgirl. donkeyfan, I accidentally bought the machine (do not ask how I did, I did). My 2 farms are full of useless machines (fudge etc, that I never use, and opening a slot on a machine costs fortune). Do you know if anyone in the German forum has figured out a way to put these machines in the storage? Thanks a lot as always!

To those who decided not to buy the new machine, how will you serve townies that asked for porridge? Depend on others to help?

To those who decided not to buy the new machine, how will you serve townies that asked for porridge? Depend on others to help? I just opened mine now. I did buy it when it was an available and I usually wait for the 💎 price to drop to open it. Meanwhile the two townies who asked for porridge were sent on their way. This happens in my town when they want something I either choose to not give them or I don’t have. There are usually more to take their place.

To those who decided not to buy the new machine, how will you serve townies that asked for porridge? Depend on others to help? I hope not, as I suspect there will be very few "spare" porridge products around. I've just done a truck task needed for our Bingo board, and a significant number of trucks asked for porridge items, including apple porridge, which uses 2 jams to make. Back in the day we had a hoodie who chose not to get the sushi maker. She then asked for help whenever she needed sushi items. Not much help was forthcoming...

To those who decided not to buy the new machine, how will you serve townies that asked for porridge? Depend on others to help? I did buy it, but didn't speed it up. While I wait, I just use one of my (many) Tom boosters to get all of the products it makes. I suppose those who have elected to not buy it could use Tom as well (if they have the boosters or are willing to pay for him).

I did a lot more trucks this week and so far the only thing I sent off was three red soaps. Lol, didn’t need to gem that machine at all.
It’s just ironic but it doesn’t bother me, since I don’t mind supporting this game that I love.

I’ve bought it - but never use gems to speed it up - I can be patient!
