Oktoberfest?

They really should make this more clear... but...

I think that "pretzel" and "points" are interchangeable words meaning what you get for each task.  The Pretzel reward is actually what ever the gift is... such as the useless 1 single irritating map....

I could very well be totally off.  Looks like today will get me around 300 points(or pretzels) past aforementioned map.   At this rate may be up to the pig by the end of the event 🙃 

Yes, I trashed a couple, knowing there are more in line. And it shows how many I have left in line. But I’ve already lost track of how many I’ve done. 😳. Is there a daily counter somewhere?

There really should be somewhere in-game with additional information about how this type of event works. The three little graphics in the “info” button on the Oktoberfest window are totally inadequate. In the derby, there is a tab in the “?” Section that gives extensive explanations about the special derbies. There is nothing similar available for this event. We shouldn’t have to depend on our friends here at JustHayDay for the basics. There isn’t even any notice about Oktoberfest in the game notices. Only the event sandwich board which is even less informative.

I am so confused. But no matter, doing the calc there is no way I can reach the main reward, so i won't even bother with my secondary farms. And I still don't get it, I trashed 2 jam tasks for 80 or so points, the 2 juice tasks with just as low points and ended up with around 500 points for today. Then I look at the days left counter and started to giggle. I will be lucky if I reach the tuba playing piggie.

So, I thought Hay Day is a supposed to be a 'cozy game' to relax and unwind. And yes, one is not forced to play the mini games, but it is a normal reaction to want to play them, right? so we have the farm pass, the valley, the truck board event, the derby ( a bingo no less), and this seasonal event all with still having to take care of the farm, planting, manufacturing, decorating.... just too much for me since my real life demands my presence.

I don’t believe there is a counter. But who knows? I, for one, do not. Today I have definitely done 12 tasks so far, and think I will have done 15 before the queue timer resets. I am making hash marks on a slip of paper, just to satisfy my curiosity. 

The tasks I didn’t do yesterday were there this morning still - I didn’t trash tasks. These are jams, compote, peach pie, and one other ridiculously long item I can’t remember. I thought the game would reset the tasks, but on my two farms it did not. This suggested a strategy. I will let all my machines run down, and now am only loading them with things for the Oktoberfest mini game. Silly, I know. I could just as well have let the Oktoberfest game go. Instead, its all I’m doing.  I hope that by doing all the tasks on the board and in the queue will then have to get new tasks, all without trashing. The result at least IS more points, though it does make doing the usual things I do in the game - like visiting the town and feeding townies rather difficult as I cant really restock what they take.

I don’t know if this makes sense, or if it replicates what anyone else is experiencing. But I can at least confirm that more than 10 tasks is a possibility. My guess is that 15 is the limit - 6 on the board, 9 in the queue.

Just finished, the only high point task I had was for waffles and I don’t have the machine yet 😟🙄

Yes, lots of confusion reading Support page and FB post on first day and ingame pop up since they are contradictory, Missing information or different way to interpret. Not knowing how max quota per date evolve nor consequence when trashing task, nor leaving task in line.

Is there any official explanation publicly shared that I missed?
I feel the rules could have been better (re)explained via inbox system like when you did for temporary machine.

Right now I never see the plus button to add new task in queue. How to trigger that one?

I have the permit which was what I wanted.  It is not really fun when the outcome is not achievable.

My thinking is that the pretzel and points are the same too.

I can understand that the other events were Give back Events. But if this is the normal Event type than this was the one and only I played. 

The new event type is really horrible. 

The decision of the developers to limit the tasks on 10 per day without the option to collect them for later makes the event so frustrating and annoying.

We all know hayday is a game and there is also a real life.
And I'm really sad, that the developers ignore that.
Sometimes there are other things in life.

There are so many tasks that are really time consuming.
This isn't manageable if you have other commitments in your life. Not every single day. 
But missing a day means missing points means you won't get the prizes. 

And what I absolutly can't understand:
Why are there tasks that last longer than a day?!
Thats really unfair. If you take the task and will complete it on the next day, then you miss one task. It is counting to your 10 (or now 15) tasks from the next day.

And why are those tasks appearing in the evening. With less time to get it ready in time! 
Thats really really frustrating and disappointing and makes no sense at all. 

The previous events were so great.
If you have time you do many tasks and if there is a day without time you do less tasks and do it on the next day. 
That was really nice.

But the "must do 10 a day" is really stressing and not compatible with life every day! 
Not for a whole week or longer. 
This makes the event so impractically! 

And I'm afraid, if you miss only one task, than you can't receive the end of the event.
So annoying and frustrating.

At the moment I got so many tasks with low points that I don't know how it should work to get all the prizes.

I am so behind the average I should reach per day. 
Seems like it is unpossible to get the 15.000 point for the last prize. 

I can absolutely understand that the event should be harder then the previous. 
But why not even change the number of available task for the whole time to make it harder? 

Please don't do a daily limit. It is not practicable if you have a real life. 
Or change it and save the tasks so that the queue increases, if you can't do all. 
Then it would make sense. 

But I think the best way was without a limit so that everyone can fit it to its one gameplay, to its one life. 
Derby, daily events and this event is to much. So everyone can decide its one. Today its derbytime, tomorrow do something for the event and so on. Without loosing points. 

If that’s the case, then trashing low point tasks might not be worthwhile, and I should just try to do them all (if possible).  Will see what I can manage tomorrow.  At 3200 for the last two days.  

Unfortunately it is. 
I suspected the same, because the timer for the task said I will have more than one day to finish it. 
So I tried it. 

Day one I started the task. 
Day two we got the new tasks. I checked the board. 

On the board were 6 tasks. 
One of them was my active task. 

In the queue were 4 tasks. 

So no increase. I missed one task. 
It counted into the 10 possible tasks. 

It is really disappointing. 

Absolutly not well thought out!

I have the feeling that they use the previous event and only applied the limit for the daily tasks.
Without thinking about what this means for the tasks and that this is not possible.

I was very optimistic on the first day and expected that every thing will go well.
But I am deeply disappointed now.

It's a pitty. They changed a great event into a disaster.
So many problems, so many things the developer haven't thought about.

I am also afraid that there are not enough tasks / points to reach the end of the event.
I really felt confident they attached so many point for each of us, that we can reach it.
But when I read what impossible tasks some players get, when I read, that so many (or all?) players are behind the average we should have done per day and when I see my own tasks and points - now all my hope is gone.

I will go on. But with a bad feeling on it.

So.... with all the adjustments, resets, changes etc....

We have 6 on the line, and 9 in the que. Does that mean we can actually do all 15 tasks,, or are we limited to the 10 daily?

Just want to clarify, I stay confused 😕.

Completely based on my own observations:
On day 2 of event, yesterday, I was able to do more than 10 tasks. So for me, quota perday = what's showing + in queue.

However, task not done won't be carried over to quota the following day. Task expired will be added to the queue next day.

Right now, I keep high point tasks with more than 2 days to go, waiitng for it to be ready. If low point, I trashed , in hope of better points tasks.

Which means I won't be doing all 15 tasks but try to get some points to progress, by keeping some tasks for later.
