Well I’m not sure how this go but…. My always #1 question why hay day doesn’t make it easier to find buy or recieve expansions a little less difficult? I mean to clear 1 space up it takes me almost 3 months to get all three expansions.
Also production machines!!!! I have never seen such expensive ones it is very hard for me to make it to one price and gotta start all over buy Saco g for the next one because it’s more expensive.
Hay day should lower just a peak those prices and help out with the expansions I’m suffering here trying to have space and not able to expand the land.

Welcome, melmel! You’ve come to the right place. We may not have answers, but there are farmers here with a lot of years of Hay Day experience.
Even for those of us who have been farming for years, the slow pace of land expansion becomes frustrating. It takes me months to get enough LEMs (land expansion materials: deeds, mallets, stakes) to open a plot. I think that the reason the HD team makes it so difficult is because years ago, before permits were introduced, when a new batch of land plots arrived quite a few farmers were able to open them quickly. That meant that the “When will we get more land??” posts would begin again almost immediately. Now, there is no way to get permits except through working the game, so things have slowed waaay down. I had a bunch of permits stacked up from a period when I wasn’t opening plots, so I have been able to concentrate on the LEMs since the newest plots arrived. However, after I open the next plot, I’ll be back to having to decide between permits and LEMs for my derby prizes.
I can’t imagine having to save enough coins for all the machines that are available now. When I started, I assumed that new machines would be introduced at progressively higher levels. What has happened, is that some machines are introduced at levels between existing machines. For example, I just checked the Hay Day wikia, and their list of machines shows that the omelet station is available at level 77 between the taco kitchen at level 77 and the tea stand at level 80. It’s no problem for those of us who have millions of coins stacking up with nothing to spend them on except the occasional new machine. (I have 18 million coins, and that is nothing compared to some.) In the olden days, there was breathing room between new machines for us to accumulate coins if we didn’t rush to level up. I think the HD team has a dilemma — do we only introduce machines at high levels to give the newer farmers a chance to build coins, or do we frustrate the newer farmers because all the new machines won’t be available to them for ages?
Hay Day has gotten progressively more complex. Hugely more complex! There are so many aspects where the HD team has to balance keeping newer farmers from getting frustrated and feeling left out and keeping long-time farmers from getting bored and feeling ignored. I probably should start a baby farm to revisit the “new farmer” experience. Good luck, melmel, and hang in there. Coming to this forum for a chat can be a satisfying addition to your farming routine.

Hi, MiniGardener, I think you got to the point very well. I agree with you. In earlier times HayDay wasn't as complex as currently and easier to handle. Today you have to consider thorougly what is most important to you and to adapt your play style accordingly. But one thing will never change as long as you play HayDay.....patience.....patience.....and again patience. If you are interested to place value on having fun for a long time with HayDay you have to come to terms with it. At present I recommend to focus on 2 or 3 things which are important for you to achieve and concentrate to do it constantly over the time. If you want to deal with every option possible you will be overwhelmed very quickly and fail. Try to reconsider your needs regularly and adapt or change your play style. You are free to do so and this will avoid being bored or being stressed for some reason. Do only what you want to do, what you like and what fits best in your current situation. Don't force things, the game will impede those attempts. ❤️🙂🌺

I agree with donkeyfan entirely. Don’t try to do everything. “Farm management”, making choices, and patience are what it all comes down to. There’s always something I want NOW that I have to be patient for. Often it’s some decor in a locked land plot that I know I won’t access until next Christmas.
There used to be a forum where new farmers could ask things like “do I need more than one smelter?” Or “what should I open first, the fishing area or the XX machine?” Maybe we need to add something like that to JustHayDay. We are so lucky that new farmers are joining!! Without them, Supercell would have “sold the farm”.

Very good hint. I mean asking questions from Hayday beginners.
Perhaps staff could implement such a beginner-sub-forum where only those questions can be asked and supported from our members. I recommend a new respectively a sub-forum for this issue because only opening a new thread will disappear in the depth of the forum over time.
I hope this is possible without great effort. 🙂

I recommend a new respectively a sub-forum for this issue because only opening a new thread will disappear in the depth of the forum over time. I hope this is possible without great effort. 🙂 Can new member who post.such threads have helpful ones like that pinned? I do remember a thread a while back where people posted what they wished they knew when they started. That might be helpful? As for the original point here, I agree it has gotten more complex. In adding permits to slow down land expansion, then they also limited the amount of EMs that could be traded per day—a further slowdown. Now with new land, there is a shortage of some LEMs. I used to see them in the daily dirt or had friends who didn’t need them but now they do, with the newest addition. So it just keeps getting slower and slower and slower. They need to adjust something for lower levels to make progress feel as rewarding as it did in the beginning. I’ve been playing on and off for close to probably 8 years (with a two year break in there) and I think I’m where others were after their first 2-3 years playing, maybe. How much patience do they expect someone starting now, to have to have? Clash added certain items to speed up progress for people just starting out, so they could sort of “catch up” to higher levels more quickly. It also helps with the stupid costs and length of time for upgrades at the high levels. I know that in HD lower levels don’t have to compete with high levels, but still…. I suppose the farm pass does a little of this by providing some extra materials along with deco so the farm doesn’t seem so “bare” for so long, but it doesn’t feel like it’s quite enough to take away the “trudging through the mud” feeling of progression. They should reduce costs for plots, increase EMs and permits, add more spaces per upgrade, or some combination of things like that. It’s crazy to need more and more EMs for a consistent 50 extra spaces, for example. I did a barn upgrade and levelled up, when they added the omelettes machine. So I had to have room for about 5 ? new products on 2 new machines. I opened 50 spaces and suddenly needed 45 new product storage slots (I like to keep 9 of each). The +/-200 EM spaces were quickly filled with products on machines, animal feed, etc. I can literally have the barn full within half an hour of upgrading it. And there’s so many more products for everyone to make now than years ago, with no new dairy slots added. Time for some obvious tweaks somewhere. If (hopefully when) they give us more beach space for these cute beach decos, it’s going to be even slower unless they adjust things.
