I try to keep my farm fox-free by putting up fences, making sure berry bushes are far away from the road and try to herd them towards the road if one happens to stray onto my farm. The reason I don't like foxes? When I saw the first ever one on my farm I actually thought it was weeing on my bushes!! Yep, it was half-hidden by the bush and I didn't know it was innocently scratching itself, however my fox aversion has continued. Imagine my dismay when I noticed not one but Five Foxes near my boat. They are so stubborn! I got rid of two of them by moving a plant behind them as they headed towards the road. As they moved, I moved - I may have invented Fox Chess. Sadly, two more have arrived and now am back to original group of Five. I am getting very good at not looking at them and hopefully one day they will just move away. I know some farmers love their foxes and have seen hundreds trapped on some farms, so if you can work out how I can get them to you then there are five foxes available!! Happy farming to everyone. Jo

I hear ya, snoo.
Not a fan of the foxes. There is enough scratching going on between the puppies and Tom without having the foxes do it too.
I was proudly fox free until recently. A fox appeared close to the water and made its way to the boat dock.
My farm is densely forested, so I hope there are no surprises behind. The solo fox should have never been able to infiltrate my farm in the first place π€¦ββοΈ

I can totally relate to your dislike of foxes! I too have fences to keep them out, that works in general, but not for the extreme left of the farm, where they creep up and congregate either at the boat dock or the top left corner. I successfully ignored those foxes for a long time, but after the last update, they multiplied and something had to be done! I followed the advice given by Anniebel884 in post #11 of the following thread in the old forum forum.supercell.com/showthread.php/1952638-Foxes/page2, and successfully got rid of the foxes on my two farms. It takes a bit of effort, but for me it was totally worth it. Surprisingly, the foxes have not yet returned to the left side of my farms since their expulsion on April 22 (touch wood), but I have kept the layout and am ready to repeat when they do. I have cut and pasted the post here and my reply to it (with my version of fox chess, lol) for the record as the old forum will be gone relatively soon.

Some time ago I rearranged the top left corner of my farm, as a part of a redesign (the Halloween Witch set up home in that corner, with her "friend" - Santa).
As a part of that I was surprised to see a strange shadow in the corner, at the limit of my screen. Further investigation revealed it to be a huge cluster of foxes, all occupying the same tile.
It took considerable time to shoo them away, particularly as they were in such an inaccessible place. Eventually I managed it and the witch moved in.
More recently, I've noticed foxes in that area again. They are more spread out though, and some are under my bee tree near the mine. I again cleared them out - which took ages - and rebuilt the areas I'd dismantled in the process.
The next day one or two foxes were back, and they were soon joined by others.
I didn't want to do the whole thing again, if there was a likelihood that they would return. I therefore took a pragmatic approach, and decided to let them stay for now.
The place they collected was in my bunny field (no surprise there!) I've now moved the bunnies to a different area where they can play in peace.
One day I might try to clear the foxes again, but in the meantime my bunnies are safe!

Once I managed to βescortβ the foxes from the top left corner, off my farm. I put a ditch along the river (from the road, all the way to the cliff). They have not returned for the past 3-4 weeks. I also have fences, decorations (gnomes, statues, potted plants or flowers, etc) all along the edges of my farm. These create a barrier and the foxes have no access to the farm. Keeping my fingers crossed the foxes donβt return.

I too used the edit mode and escorted all five the of foxes that hung out on my boat dock. Once they were gone, I put trees and bushes all along the side and top of the upper left corner. I haven't had the nasty flea bags return since!

I am part of the I hate the foxes team and do everything possible to keep them off my farm. For the longest time I had one stuck in the furthest corner in the upper left side, then after the last update that side of my farm was inundated with a skulk of foxes. (yes, a group of foxes is called a skulk)
I followed the advice found on the old boards and after using the edit mode and a couple of days of tapping and moving concrete fences I finally got rid of all of them, including the one who had camped at the top of the farm for months. Once in a while I'll get one who manages to find his way on my farm and I get him off as quickly as possible.

I agree with all of you. The foxes are extremely annoying, and it takes time and patience to get rid of them. At least it worked on my farm with the tip from Anniebel884 from the old forum.
Until now they didn't came back, luckily. So I tried the same procedure with the farm from my sister-in-law, but unlike to my farm she has a "hole" in the left corner, from which new foxes emerged again and again. It was impossible to stop it, that is why we have given up.
She planted apple trees in the left corner to provide the foxes from spreading all over her farm. And this worked. But personally I would have preferred to get rid of them.
So it does not work in every case, sadly.

Iβm in the camp that dislikes the foxes. They are terribly annoying. I do wish there was a switch where we could turn them off. Iβm glad that I havenβt (yet!) faced the problems that some have described. And appreciate the people who posted remedies!

I invested 3 hours last night into ridding the lone fox that appeared after the last update. Due to the unique nature of my farm layout, I wouldn't be comfortable using the edit mode.
I made a path for him to go from the boat dock left to the road and as he slowy moved, I barricaded the area behind him.
Here is hoping that is the last of him

Another question:
Since I got rid of the foxes I have a greater number of frogs appearing on the upper side of my farm.
I'm wondering about that, because I had never so many frogs at one time. At first there are only 2 oder 3, but when time goes on, they are increasing.
At some point I get tired of them and I remove them with a large pond.
Please, don't get me wrong, I don't complain but I'm only interested if someone has made the same expericences. The foxes are gone, but the frogs are coming. Very strange....

IIRC there is a way to get rid of the frogs as well. The small ponds help get rid of frogs.

Hi misspoufy, THX for your answer. It's funny but I found that the large ponds are working better and quicker than the smaller ones. OK, so I have to live with the frogs and when I think there are too much I remove them. Some frogs are ok, I know that they are attracted from the ponds, but when they increase, I found them disturbing.

I'm pushing this thread because I just removed annoying foxes from my babyfarm.
As you all know the foxes are in the left top corner. Previously I thought there was a "hole" from which the foxes emerged but I was mistaken, luckily.
Meanwhile the foxes didn't only centered at the upper corner they also begun to walk through my fruit trees (oranges) which I had planted there. I was fed up and decided to do something. I used the edit-mode and secured at first my babyfarm in Layout 2. Then I shifted to Layout 1 and removed everything which could be an obstacle for the foxes on her way towards the street.
After that I know I had to be a little patient. When the foxes begun to move towards the street I followed them and blocked their way back with machines. Finally they vanished when they reached the street. I activated my secured farm in Layout 2 and got finally rid of the foxes. Very easy and quite fast.
So, if someone is also annoyed he may try this solution, it works. But I must say I had only 4 foxes, that was easy to handle. If you have more to remove it could take a little more time.

I have been overrun with foxes as well, both on the big farm the medium baby farm. On the big farm, they have migrated from the river to the mine area and behind the farmhouse. I guess I'm going to have to take the time to get rid of them since that area is exclusively where my pets are, but finding the time to get rid of them and continue farming is going to be challenging. Also, they have started to interfere when I attempt to click on the feeding bowls for the cats and dogs. Since they are in the way, the products (milk & bacon) won't come up until they move. One continuously has his paws in the milk dish. Ewwww!

And you're right, when the foxes reach a certain number they often use every occasion to spread. Unfortunately they are supposed to appear on places where they are mostly unwanted. It's a real bad thing that they bother your pets. I hope you'll find the time to get rid of them, too. I 'm crossing fingers.

I like the foxes and the frogs, what I don't like nor really understand the reason behind is that is never just one fox or one frog, it is always lots of them, which I seriously dislike. One is cute, ten is a menace.

I've come to the realization that I will never get rid of the foxes permanently, so I like to trap them and keep them in an enclosed pen made from stone. I'm not a cruel person. I gave them a small tree for shade and a couple of ditches for water. They're on their own for food!

RescueSquad15. (RS 15)πͺ Also a good idea. The problem begins in my opinion when the foxes are spreading and wandering through the whole farm. Mostly in different places. If that occurs then it become very tricky and time-consuming to get rid of them. Not everyone has the time and the nerves to do so. And it's also possible that it is not successful, as on my sister-in-laws farm. She has the described hole in the left upper corner and just when you thought to get rid of the foxes new ones were emerging. Very, very annoying and frustrating, too. So she has to live with them but luckily they didn't spread...till now. donkeyfan

Well I had a bit of time over the weekend and I followed the amazing instructions given and got rid of the foxes on my farm! Yay! It didn't take as long as I thought it would and some of them were really stubborn and wouldn't move, even after I tapped on them, but I found that if I went to the fishing area and then came back, they were in a different spot and I was able to get them going. Most ran to the road once the path was clear also.
