Ok so I decimated my funds & bought the waffle machine when it became available, yet since opening, not one boat, truck or townie has asked for a waffle!!! This is the problem I have with the continued introduction of all these new machines, they are never utilised. Boats, trucks & townies ask for the same products over & over, at least on my farms, I hardly get asked for any of the newer items, makes spending all that $ on the new machines frustrating.

I’ve had a couple of townies ask for them, and one boat. But I agree with your overall sentiment 100%.
IMO the new machines add little to the game, and I long for a qol update instead.

The Waffle Maker is also proving to be the most difficult to complete the mastery on. It’s the first machine I haven’t been able to keep running 24/7 because of the demand on resources and short processing times.

I experience the opposite effect, and I didn't bought the last machine until now. My townies happen to ask already several times for waffles. I was lucky and gained an amount of waffles some days ago from the WOF. That was good. 😉 My recommendation for that matter..... IF respectively WHEN SC is about to introduce a new machine (for sure every update) I hesitate to buy at once. I think it's better to wait some time and to observe the demand. For the time being I prefer Tom. I have more than enough Toms to compensate the required goods. If I can see finally a given demand I MAYBE reconsider the purchase of the new machine. 🙂

That is, without waking up at night to take care of these machines
It took me quite a while for these 2 due to similarly short production times: 35 minutes at most, and that would mean having a steady supply of raspberry jam to produce filled donuts. For the Waffle Maker I get the syrup with Tom to be able to keep pace with the sugar mill, and I stock up on berries as soon as I find some in the DD.

I have never bothered about mastery, it will happen when it happens lol, I just get annoyed being asked for the same things over & over, & new items & machines never utilised.

I could keep the Fondue and Donut Maker going 22/23 hours a day

One of the fun challenges for me is to master all the machines. I have all of them mastered now except for the waffle maker. For the Fondue maker, I made bacon fondue to keep it going as much as possible. I used Tom and my baby farms to get the olive oil and bacon when needed. Mostly the baby farm for bacon. It doesn’t take as many hours to master this one as some of the others. Similarly, for the Donut maker, I used Tom and baby farms for the jam. I made plain donuts during the day and loaded it up with jelly donuts at night. This waffle maker is going to be the hardest, I think. I run plain during the day and berry at night, but even the berries ones are short. I suspect that Hay Day will have a new waffle product in the next update and I hope it will have a longer production time. I’m using up my free Tom boosters and the free Earnest boosters on my baby farms to get the sugar.

Good luck. I managed to master the yoghurt maker yesterday. Next stop cupcake maker. I am still struggling with the fondue maker. Waffles I prefer to make in real. ;-)
