Ditto to Lynn above. I had a boat ask for long gifts last night β¦ one of my hoodies was able to fill it. π

Just logged into my Baby Farm and the GWS is gone. Checked my barn to verify the amount of gifts decreased from about 40 to zero.
Everything went according to plan this time. Good job Team Hay Day!

Someone had posted we'd get five coins per Holly and no compensation for unused gifts, but I'm thinking we have been compensated for unused gifts (so I got five coins for my single remaining Holly, then 6600 coins for my remaining gifts).

You're right about being compensated for unused gifts. I had about 10 Hollys on my Baby Farm and about 40 unused gifts. Alfred just delivered a package which contained 1900 coins.

My basic comments about the event: - Taking over two features (boats and puzzle pieces) to a large degree for this is a bad idea. Players should have the choice not to participate without disabling their ability to play to that degree.
- It's not a winter event, it's a Christmas event. Call it what it is.
- We need to get full information early on about how it ends. In the second week, there were coins available. Should I buy them? Depends on what happens with leftover holly at the end. Should a religious Jewish player make more of any specific gift on Thursday? This player won't be playing much on Friday before dark, and not at all between Friday about half an hour before sunset and Saturday an hour after sunset. How many gifts the player in question should make depends on what boats will be requesting on Saturday night, 48 hours later.
- A player should be able, at any time, to take a two-week break from the game, and then come back and continue under the normal rules. Including leaving on December 22, come back on January 5, and have a boat they know what it needs and be able to complete it, either themselves or by asking for help. Temporary items breaks that.
- All boats requiring gifts, but not having enough time in 4 hours to make them, is also a major problem. Especially since you can't buy them, ask Tom for them, etc.
- The fact that it takes longer to make a cookie (for lower level players it's an hour, but this is even the case if it only takes 51 minutes) than to make the only gift available at that level (45 minutes), especially with every boat requiring them, is also problematic.

I can't remember the number of holly... but did have 22 gifts- 16 long, 5 stacked and 1 snowflake. All gifts are showing 0 in barn. Received 6440 coins All in all... once I figured out how the whole thing worked, I enjoyed the event. If the machine is coming back... maybe it can be tweaked so that any excess gifts, up to a certain amount, could be stored in the same place as permits and blueprints.

My latest boat has just requested 4 wrapped gifts! I had a few normal boats yesterday so it's not like it's been sitting at my dock for the day. Foolishly I filled the crates I could and now can't send it away. I used a booster but that only filled 3 crates. Still one remaining. I guess I'm stuck waiting for 15 hours for it to leave now! Grrr! Anyone else getting rogue gift boats?

...Anyone else getting rogue gift boats? LOL. Rogue gift boats made me laugh harder than it should. ;-) I logged into game a few minutes ago and got a popup asking me to download an optional update. Current version is 1.56.119. Is anyone still getting rogue boats?

Intresting detailed thoughts about the event. But with 6+ billion people on the planet, designing a game to suit everyone is impossible. It is just a mobile game to provide entertainment for people who enjoy it, and if it is not enjoyable for some there are many other options to choose from to download and play. As with other aspects of the game like for example, town, derby, trucks, valley, many don't like these parts of the game and just don't get involved. If the gift event that encompasses the boat orders does not suit your play style, don't do boats for a month. No need to change how it works for everyone else.

You knowβ¦ I wasnβt sure where to mention it, so I thought here.
I am still seeing help requests for farms with boats needing presents. ?ΒΏ?
