The bat shower hat is so cute !! Love the rainy day chick deco- hope the rain cloud actually rains !! But it probably doesn’t ! Would love to be able to change the weather on the farm !

R3dknight also did a video on how to donate farmpasses to friends, or to buy them in bulk, today.

My animals don’t wear hats. And the skulls have been on offer before. Not overwhelming for me to say the least.

I agree with ducktown2021. It's right, the skulls were an offer last year and if I remember correctly we got other skull deco during an event. I'm not sure about it. Back then I already wasn't a fan from those skulls. Therefore I think I pass this time with the farmpass. The hats don't suit me either, as ducktown2021 stated my animals don't wear them as well. I'm hoping for a nicer and better deco next time.

I did buy fp on my main farm but won't on my little farm. Like others said, the day of the dead deco is a repeat of last year. It is not easy to decorate with that skull pathway! There were better pieces of deco... the lab comes to mind, the pig poking up the sign from the grave hole, etc..... and my animals don't wear hats either. So, this is a disappointment overall.

greenleaf Yes, not only the fact that the skull deco isn't an approach that appeals to me but I also don't even know where to place it on my farm. This applies both, the path and the large deco at the end of the farmpass with the chicken in front of it. I'm still searching for an appropriate Halloween deco. The skulls are not included in my opinion.

Actually, they are 2 very different holidays. Day of the dead is a Hispanic holiday celebrated Nov 1st and 2nd each year to honor loved ones that have died. Halloween is celebrated Oct 31st to protect people from evil spirits. In my opinion, they should not be interchanged for each other.

That's how I see it, too.

Ok, just looked it up again.
The colourful sugar skulls are part of the celebrations on Nov1 and 2–All Saints Day and the “Day of the Dead” to remember and celebrate the lives of children (small skulls) and adults (large ones) in the family who have passed away. It’s a colourful expression/remembrance of the joy of their lives. (As opposed to the dreary, dark “Halloween” the night before.)
I wonder whether to take the witch and dark graves out and put them in storage after Oct 31 and put the candy ones in their place. For two days. I don’t know. I might just leave them all out the whole time and put the witch and dark coffins away on the first of November.
Hmm…. ?

I just read, all three holidays are originally interconnected. Just celebrated locally in a different way. When I saw the skulls last year for the first time, I liked them, but couldn’t find a cookie cutter in the shops. Anyway, I live in a Protestant state, the 31 of October is a different holiday, celebrating reformation day.

I respect the cause which is behind the skulls. I also appreciate the way the people remember their beloved and passed ones. Nevertheless I fail to get a "connection" to the colorful skulls. I'm not comfortable with it. And I can't reason it either as it's only a feeling. For me is the original Halloween something I can identify with. Completely, absolutely. Due to this I'm only looking for deco which fits in a way I like it. Therefore I'm hoping for some additional, new spooky Halloween deco. SC, surprise us, please!

In fact the only I day relate to is All Souls Day on November 2nd. I do have a cemetery in my town. Unlike many here I am not a fan of Halloween and have decided not to use my decor this year. Maybe it is thst growing up in Australia Halloween was never an event. It is more so now but still not a major event where I live. that said I did buy the farm pass. Some of the perks are useful as I don’t use Rosie or Ernie and I like the XP, scrolls, etc.

Here in Texas, we have a large and vibrant Hispanic population. So day of the dead is widely celebrated here and is a wonderful time of remembering loved ones in song, dance, food, etc. As a German Jew, I love watching the festivities and often go to see the parade. Culture is an amazing and wondrous thing! 😁
