Hi,
My question is if it is possible to have "common" townies that each of our farms gets with the train like an expansion item (e.g., plank farm)?
For the last 5 days I have been tying to gather a group of townies in 3 separate farms so I can send a group of same townies to my main farm for a town derby task. What I have experienced is below:
Farm 1: on average, the train (14 visitors) delivers approximately 5 lady with pink hat (the actress); 4 cowboy, and the rest is divided among the other townies. I rarely received the teacher on this farm.
Farm 2: on average, the train (14 visitors) delivers approximately 4 - 5 the local; 4 the mechanic, and the rest is divided among the other townies. I rarely received the grand master in this farm.
I cannot find the paper where I wrote the average about the third farm but I am starting again.
So, is this a coincide, or can it possibly mean that each town has a common visitor? What do you think?
Happy farming.

Hi Lily77, interesting question. I'm curious about the outcome. But I need some time. Will study my babyfarms and tell you ASAP. Hopefully more members want to know more about this issue as well.

I usually get a good mix on each townie of both of my farms. If I am looking for a particular one to reach 9 for derby, I find them using my personal train. Townie tasks are one of my favorites and I do 3 or 4 almost every derby. Now building tasks automatically get trashed as they ask for 23 of a building. Poop on that silliness. Lol

Hmm⦠interesting question.
I donβt pay a lot of attention to the mix that appears on the express train. I send almost all of the 3 building requesters to the platform without serving them, to ensure that my hoodies have townies to pick up. I serve all of the 2 building requestors to get the present. And send my personal train around to pick up 10 from my neighborhood towns.
Like everything else in this game, I find that whatever it is Iβm looking for is either not around or very, very scarce! It seems like the game knows what I want and deliberately withholds whatever I am looking for! I guess I am paranoid. π

Hi Lily77, I have to apologize as I wasn't able yet to find out a special sort of townies for my main farm and my baby. I wanted to start 2 days ago but I couldn't make myself starting up. But I didn't forget it, will do it later.

I use the townies to keep my barn in check lol. I do keep the 3 requestors as long as the grocery store is not a crazy request. Any townie that has a grocery request gets served or kicked depending on the grocery request no matter if 2 or 3 buildings. I constantly rotate my townies to get what I want for derby tasks. I use my personal train to pick up townies I need. I do agree that the game knows what you need and makes it scarce which is a bit β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ in my book. That's not a game challenge it's a cheat. But, SC does not exactly care what players think so... lol. I love the game, accept its negatives, and while I do vent at times about things, like most all of us here, I happily play and enjoy my game! Γ°ΒΒ₯Β°

greenleaf Same applies to me. I also consider especially for the grocery townies whether I serve them or not. Any other building will be served without looking what's required. I don't care, as the reward from a fully developed town is by far the best in the game.

donkeyfan , thank you, and it is not important at all - test it if/when you have time I am still getting the same figures as I wrote above, it is really strange. And it is still the same: the teacher and the grand master are almost not visiting so the extent that I could not make a grope of 9 in any of feeder farms. π» Farmgirl π©βπΎ and greenleaf I had not noticed this before because in 2 farms, when the visitors arrive, they are not "grouped" - rather spread in the idle section, so it is so difficult to know the number of each visitor. I do not know, perhaps it is nothing or perhaps there might probably be common (I really do not know . And you both are not paranoid Whenever I need an item, I cannot find it or it is much harder to find. Recent example: the boat was asking rustic bouquet that I don't make as it is always on the newspaper. Guess what? NO rustic bouquet on the paper. There are some other examples that I experienced (e.g., carrots, red hats) so I think that game knows what you need and makes it harder to acquire. Yes! I also love the game with its negatives β€οΈβ€οΈ But it is also very good to talk about the negatives so some improvements can be made for good and to welcome more players if SC minds as a business. When we point out a negative aspect, it does not mean that we do not love the game, and there is nothing wrong with it or it is not even offensive. Contrary, it is the negative feedback from us that will make an aspect to be improved. In the end of the day, SC is a business that wants to make profit so such negative feedback must be quite valuable for them to attract many players as much as they can. Though it is impossible to make all players happy, somehow balancing would simply do the trick. I started when the game was launched with a group of friends. Most of them quitted in time because the negatives in the game weighed more. Most of them (like many of us) were supporting the game gladly so they were buying diamonds etc. within their budgets. But, as I said, when the negatives have become more and more in time, they stopped playing. I understand them because we all are playing the game to have fun and relax, and some aspects of the game currently are quite imbalanced, and this leads "frustration" or "taking too much time" that in turn leads to quitting playing. E.g., I am fine with 80 limit now but the space should definitely be increased from 50 to 100 above a certain farm level, just like Ernest and Rose barn increases to 200. Such an increase would not create an imbalance in the game. Rather, some "core" players may even come back. With each update, the number of machines are increasing so does the number of products = we really need more room in the barn. E.g., I am playing the game mostly to decorate my farm, to serve my townies calmly, and to do boats so I can get voucher = more decoration. But I have no space (land) in my farm anymore (all decos are on top of each other) because the permits are so hard to get. This of course affects my decision to buy the deco packs negatively. I used to buy deco packs for app. 4 - 5 farms regularly (and I bought some decos that I like x2 for my main farms depending on my budget). Now, I am not buying the deco packs and the diamonds anymore for any of my farms as there is no purpose: no permit = no room. And deco packs and diamonds are the selling point for SC. Thus, it will really be good to facilitate acquiring the permits if SC minds selling deco packs etc. (more). Not through the offers "2 permits are 420 diamonds" or spin the wheel because I must spend diamonds to spin it again or let it go if I cannot get the permit at first by luck. We used to have boat events for permits but they strangely disappeared. They should come back. Such a balancing in acquiring the permits would not hurt the game. Rather, it will creative incentives to buy diamond packs etc. especially for those playing to relax and have fun with decorating their farms - I cannot rely on the valley because for a very long time I had no permits at all. - As regards the derbies, it is a good source for permits but it really stresses (rather than relaxing) me as it is like a real job-tasks so they are simply not for me. Now, I am in my hood, taking it very easy just to possibly get permit as reward. I used to spend diamonds to shuffle the rewards etc. - I am not it doing anymore. - Farm-pass: I really liked the xp option. Now, XP is significantly reduced and we have the duplicates. So, I am not buying farm pass anymore for any of my farms so do not my friends. I never though but someone wrote in this forum that they use the duplicate helps so apparently the duplicates are good for some players. In such a situation, the best way could be to make xp/coin subject to the choice of a player, and the duplicates/additional slots for the most used machines subject to the choice of a player (if technically possible). This would be fairly balanced, and players would choose the perks that fit for their game style. In turn, farm pass will be sold (more), which is another selling point of SC. - Town: Great introduction in the game! serving townies without stress really relaxes me. But there is a need for land because it will be great to decorate the town, and to have a few new buildings so it breaks "monotonous". Town has been neglected. - Safari animals are nice and I would love to decorate the zoo. However, those animals are in constant sleep because I cannot catch up with making feeding stuff for the regular farm animals and safari animals. Obviously, we need a third feeding mill but nothing is happening. Wow! I am very sorry for the length - I had not realized... Anyway, it is really good to point out the negative aspects (imbalances) in the game as it is the negative aspects (feedback) that can lead to improvements in case SC cares. Fixing the imbalances can surely attract the players who have quitted, attract more new players, and change the player's mind who decided not to spend money (like me) = good support for SC. Happy farming β€οΈ β€οΈ β€οΈ

Oh my Lily! I did not and I'm sure farmgirlas well, meant no disrespect to you an your post. To respond to things that I have discovered... you can sort your townies under any tab, by ID, time to complete, and type of shop. All done through the Town hall tab. This might help you keep up with collecting particular townies! π

Hi Lily77 , I took the time and kept track of the sort of my townies when the train arrives. Remarkable in the first place was a lack of cowboys, I got only one. Also less of the teacher, there were two. 3 sales-man with the green suit and hat. In the contrary I got many old men, 6 of them. I don't know whether this will occur similar in the next train, but I will pay attention to it. The demanded products are mixed, as usual, I think. Nothing uncommon. Last but not least I'm having the same issue as everyone, special townies required for derby don't show up, but that's no surprise. I got used to it. I avoid such requests and delete them. Mostly I'm serving a train with requested 23 townies. As it's regardless which one I use I prefer those tasks. My sister-in-law agrees with me regarding this matter. So, finally I think there is no connection between common townies and common BEMs, it seems to be coincidential. But I'm open for other opinions or experiences. Nothing is impossible on HayDay.

Dear donkeyfan thank you so much for testing. I am still getting certain townies much more in numbers in the trains in 3 different farms, compared to the other townies. I really do not why it is as it is. I mean it really helps for town task (serve 9 townies) as I now kept almost each category of townies in 3 different farms, but I think it is strange. Oh, yes, exactly. When I need certain townies to serve for a derby task, they generally do not show up. Perhaps, this method (keeping 9 in different farm) will help because sometimes I do not prefer to take serve 23 townies task. What I surely avoid is to serve at a particular building... It is sooo difficult for me to manage this "particular building" task Interesting. I have never thought about a possible connection between what we get from the townies and the townies themselves + the building served. OK, now we know that there is no connection between the townies and what we receive. Have you paid attention to the building? What I mean is like being served at building (let's say) gift shop (only an example, not a fact or tested) generally gives BEMs? And we do not know what determines which building a townie will want to go after s/he is fully served when ready to be picked up? Likely random but perhaps there is something? Thanks a lot again β€οΈ

Hi dear Lily77 thanks for your detailed answer. I must admit I didn't paid attention for special gifts given in a special building. You mentioned as example the gift shop. The reason I can't tell you this is that I'm dealing for everything in my town hall. As I'm very quick receiveing the gifts I have no clue which rewards I got. They "fly" away. But this is an interesting approach to find out. I'll concentrate the next time on my gift shop and update my experiences.

Lily77 Now I can complete the gifts from the gift shop....nice wording, besides.... - Mechanic -> 1 hammer, 1 axe - Dancer -> 1 axe - Local -> 1 shovel - Strongman -> 1 saw, 1 TNT-Barrel Very ordinary things, no BEM's or something like that. I'll update this because I want to know if this is common or completely random.
