Our entire Bingo board was filled with "Highlander" tasks this time. We had ridiculous amounts requested for Honey tea, feta pies, Broccoli pasta, peach iced tea plus growing large quantities of tomatoes, mint, and eggplant....NONE OF WHICH have come up and we trash tasks constantly. How can you get 3 of each task if zero or one show up?
I don't get the whole concept of putting bingo lines up if the necessary corresponding tasks never appear, or if they do appear they're 50 point tasks.
If SC doesn't want to give away extra rewards then stop doing Bingo derbies.

Not sure what a highlander task is however, we often get cards where several tasks do not show up even once. Others show up 1 time. We have to do a task 5 times so seldom get more than 1 bingo. We have decided to ignore bingos after getting 1 line and just play like it was a normal bingo. It was waaaaayyy to stressful trying to get 3 bingos. I recommend our new way of playing to others that stress over a game that is supposed to be fun.

stress over a game that is supposed to be fun. And that's the thing, isn't it? They keep introducing ways to make the game less fun, leaving people to either walk away, or just ignore the ❤❤. I don't play the bomb game in the valley any more. Many don't play the valley at all. They do a bunny derby every other week, people are starting to ignore that. They dropped so many animals at once, people are ignoring the sanctuary, only feeding their animals when wheating gives them so much they make bundles, and now the barn is full so they need to get rid of the wheat bundles because they don't show up in the paper. You need a certain task for a bingo? You ain't gonna get it. Then when you DO get a bingo, there is a bug getting the final achievement. Train tracks are a myth on the level of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. They could address this and some glaring balance issues, but instead focus on yet another crop, yet another (mostly ignored) machine, and pets that you don't get for a frickin' YEAR...unless, of course, you pony up the dough. Some fixes are super easy. Put train tracks and chick vouchers as valley prizes and watch how busy the valley gets. Every other update, no new crop, no new machine, just new products to backfill use of what we already have. In short, they are really giving the image that they want to pump and dump. But the game has been around for years, I don't believe that is the plan. They just need to do something to show people that they don't believe this is the plan either.

There are things that need to be more even/balanced but even without that the plusses are greater than the minuses. That is my opinion of course and you have a different, but for many, a very valid one as well. The peacock can be gotten quickly if one wants to play paid the farmpass. Or free if a player just does the free pas road. The farm pass, in my opinion, is one of the best features of the game. The many perks, the deco, the prizes along the way are awesome. I buy one for each of my farms. I feel it is great value for money spent. Others do not. Their choice. Games have to make money. Game developers can't work for free and donate their time just like any other employee trying to pay for lodging, food, transportation, etc. I choose to support them as I can and reap a substantial benefit at the same time.

@bluenerd THX for your view of point. You've argued validly. However in my opinion you shouldn't be bothered about things you can't change. As greenleaf stated, you have a choice, always. You can take what you want and avoid what you want. I think this is an approach that suits you most. I also don't like everything the play has to offer, and yes, some imbalances are annoying me, too. For example I dislike (!) extremely truck and boat orders. So I avoid them. Only exception is if I'm required to deal with it due to a farmpass task. But even than I consider to deal with it or not. In the case you decide to let it go you'll need more time, that's all. As for me it's the right thing to do. I like town very much and due to that I fullfill almost every wish of my townies, even for those who want to be served in three shops. I don't care for that, I have enough items. Only those townies who want an impertinent amount of some stuff in the grocery I'm kicking out. But that happens not that often. The valley? Honestly, as for me it would be expendable. I didn't liked it in the first place. Nevertheless I deal with it. When I feel like it. If not, then not. Actually I buyed the farmpass and due to the second spin it would be irrational to skip it. So I'm trying to get the one permit offered and the 30 diamonds at the end of the valley. On the other side I have no problem of skipping valley if it doesn't suit me. I don't plant and gather unwanted crops for the suns for more fuel. And the truckdowns are also a thing I don't need as well. So it depends from my whim to serve the valley or not. That's very comforting, at least. Perhaps you give it a try.
P. S.
I'm also still enjoying HayDay. It relieves stress. Especially I love to watch my donkeys. For that purpose I re-arranged their habitat in a new way, they have now the opportunity to visit an eery Halloween garden. Not too scary, only a little bit, I tried to resist to put too much scary stuff in it. And my donkeys love it, too. They are wandering around, it's awesome.

Just so we are clear, I am offering feedback on the game on a forum dedicated to exactly that purpose.. Nowhere did I even remotely imply anyone should be expected to work for free, that's a strawman often thrown in the path of people offering feedback on games and never contributes to the discussion. I have bought farmpass every month with the exception of this one as the decorations this month simply hold no interest for me. That has no bearing on the glaring imbalances in the game. I'm not talking likes/dislikes, everyone has aspects of the game they ignore. A have a friend who loves fishing. I hate it. I love the town. My brother hates it. I haven't met anyone who likes trucks. So, I simply don't fish, brother simply ignores the town, and everyone I know ignores trucks. This could easily be addressed without anyone having to work for free.

We always get three bingos. You have to wait until Friday and sometimes they don't show up until Saturday but they do show up eventually. Of course by then you'll be out of the top three spots. It's a choice we make because we want the scrolls. We've never dropped so far back that we out of Champion's League though.

And, I was giving my point of view as you were. I agree with many points you made. You, however, seem to feel that my point of view attacks yours. I have no idea why the harsh defense but, I will say one last thing. While there are imbalances in the game that stress me out, I find ways around them, such as ignore bingo lines and just derby as normal. I enjoy truck tasks, ignore boats except for derby and use a booster then. I greatly dislike the changes made to customer support. I love my town and ignore the sanctuary and puzzle pieces. There are enough different thing to do to accomplish things. We all like some things more than others and some things are generally disliked by many. But, it is my favorite of the games I play because of the variety of things to do, the animation, and the folks in our hood.

greenleaf You speak from my heart, I got the same impression and felt verbally attacked without a comprehensible reason. I only wanted to help. To be honest this was the first time in this forum that I didn't know how to answer appropiate and due to this my last answer was very brief. Therefore thank you for pointing this out. Hopefully our point of view is now clear.

I've been watching this thread with some concern, as it's unusual on the JHD Forum for discussion to get heated in the way this one has.
I do hope that, at the very least, members can agree to disagree. No-one should feel that their point of view is less valued than anyone else's, and we should all respect other members' opinions.
I will permit this thread to continue to run, but please consider how your post will be read by others who are feeling a little more sensitive that they might usually be. Above all please be kind in these challenging times.
Oh, and if anyone can take the trouble to explain the "highlander" reference to me, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you

And now *I'M* confused. Where's the heat? Again, in the interest of being entirely clear, here is my view of this thread:
1 Highlander reference is made regarding bingo derby (and to end the confusion here, I totally got it...Highlander's catchphrase being "There can be only one" and the point seemed to be that only one task showed up, when four were needed to be completed).
2 Yeah, we kinda ignore bingos. Why stress over something that is supposed to be fun?
3 They seem to be adding more and more stressors lately. Leading more people to either walk away completely or just ignore parts of it.
4 Nobody should be asked to work for free.
5 Literally nobody suggested that.
6 OMG, I feel attacked.
To sum up, I think WE ALL support the game financially, WE ALL ignore parts of it, and my original point stands that rather than fix the broken, they add more stuff to be ignored. Can someone PLEASE point where this "heat" is? Because the only "attacking" I see is throwing the completely off-topic "nobody should work for free" line into this discussion and I would really appreciate further clarification on what that has to do with anything, especially since nobody suggested it.

Highlander is an old film
Bunch of immortals battling it out across the ages to be the last
The catchphrase they reiterate when beheading eachother being "there can be only one"
Think they imagine they get a prize for being the last? Its old and I've not watched it for the longest time.
Anyway in the context of Hayday bingo the jist of a 'highlander task' is if, for example, a honey tea task is needed to complete a certain bingo line
And a honey tea task does show up but it is say 245 points not 320
Then is it a case of "there can be only one"? Is that a 'highlander task'
Does that lower point value honey tea task have to be deleted in order for a higher point value honey tea task to show up?
Or can more than one coexist on the board?
Does deleting it improve the chances of another appearing?
Or is it all random chance?
(P.S) when I made this thread that was my one and only question, Apologies for not articulating it better at the time!

Thank you for the responses to my post.
Given that the original post of the thread has been removed, thereby making the whole thread less meaningful, and that the content continues to cause some concern to several members, I'm going to close off this discussion.
Thank you
