Until now we were able to keep track of the blossom tasks via Messenger App's poll option. But the poll works spotty at best and today it seems completely broken. My question is, how do other neighborhoods keep track of who did which task and when to delete it after everyone completed it?

I play solo myself, but I have seen hoods that adjust their names and put it in their farm tag.

You didn't mention your derby size and how many blossom task. The bigger derby size the more complicated it is.
In previous blossom derby of 4, a hood mate who was not in derby kept everyone informed via hood announcements. She deleted and added new one when updating.
Basically the message says:
It means : 2 blossom tasks on board. Farm A still need to do both. FarmB only needs to do carrot task.
Once noone is expected for a blossom task, she will ask someone in derby to trash and staggering trashing task for new one. Being a derby of 4, the point can still be used to check how many times it have been done.
Hood member only needs to check announcement + new msg in chat to see where we are at.
Taking different kind of blossom task (not only crop) also helps to refresh memories.

Just ask your players, after they finish the task, to put the task initials after their farm name. That way you can see which tasks were taken.

So it is not too bad. The bad part is that we have farmers in different time zones, Asia, India, Europe, then EST and PST. To ask a farmer to keep track means she would most likely have to run and nag most of them, so this would be my job but yes, this would pry be the easiest solution. thank you for the tip and explanation on how to manage this.

I like this idea, except most of our farmers have icons and what nots by their names, and I doubt they want to play along with that idea. But I will keep your suggestion on file if all fails I'll give it a try

If you can spare a few others hood announcement, ask someone else to help. These announcement have timestamps, the most recent one counts. And even if only one keeps note, in my case, each one also need to tell in chat what they taking and when they finished to cross check. Plus, can check derby log (if open) to see how many task left for each one. For your time zone issue, I would suggest dividing your hood by 3 teams of two each (of close time zone or can be in opposite timezone). The idea is that each small team will take care of 1 blossom task at a time. Only when all team is done, they switch blossom task. This way, at any given time, each player will wait for only 1 person to finish and they know which task they are taking next (other team won't take it) and have plenty of times to prepare. See how well it goes and adjust the wait. It all depends on how well the hood communicates. If derby fails this week, will never be a fault of one single person.

a long time ago, our hood set up a fb group. and we use the group chat to communicate outside of the game. once a blossom task is done, the player finishing it will post in the chat what task it was, and what the new value is (for example: wheat at 350). and knowing how many are playing that week makes it easier to figure out when everyone's had it, and it should be trashed.
