This has happened before, but I’ve not seen it in quite some time. I was at the blue roofed shop (underlined in red) and wanted to go to the brown roofed shop (underlined in blue) via the black “X” where an animal was. Not that it means anything, but my truck was even facing in that direction (marked with the blue arrow). Knowing if an animal is in the truck’s path, the truck will pause to pick the animal up. Not thinking I must tap on the animal first, I tapped on the shop. Lo and behold, the truck took the path marked in red, instead of the other marked in blue, completely bypassing the animal I wanted to collect. So is it a bug that this happens? Is there any way to know what direction the truck with go?

I often click on closer spaces,(including spots with no shops on)
In an effort to better control the path my truck takes
Because I've also had that happen before with a truck taking an unexpected route!
I have no idea if the game favours clockwise over anti clockwise when matching equidistant paths are available....probably worth a few test drives to figure it out
Might be that a default direction for a road is just pre determined in it's creation.
The one that makes me roll my eyes are those silly bits where a shop is set back slightly from the main path and your truck throws itself in every direction on the run up to the shop front 🙄😅

Mom’sCar That happened to me as well. Not the issue with picking up the animal but my truck taking a silly direction. Like BauldersGate stated, sometimes I have to shake my head what the path of the truck is supposed to be. Very unlogical, often a detour. Not understandable. But there is something I want to tell you when I read your posting. You don't have to tap on an animal when your truck comes it's way. When the truck reaches the animal it will stop for one or two seconds, take the animal and subsequent continue to it's destination. Same applies if your truck "finds" on it's way sugar, or something else. The truck stops, and after one or two seconds it will pick up the item and continue it's way. However, it's a little bit weird that the truck completely changes the direction after tapping on the wanted shop. This leads to my next question. If you want to visit a shop in the valley, how do you do that? I assume tapping on the shop, don't you? Despite some animals who are hanging around. The truck picks them up and drives after that independently to it's destination. You have usually nothing to do but to wait until it's done. But perhaps I understood you wrong or I'm missing something. Should this be the case please clue me in.

I think from reading, that she meant if she tapped the animal first, the truck would have gone that way.
(It’s correct that you don’t usually need to tap them, but in this case the truck didn’t go to it as expected, but unexpectedly turned around and went the other way.)
I seem to recall my trucks facing one way when I leave them at a stop, then facing the other direction when I next come back to it.
I’m not sure whether I’ve noticed it seem to suddenly turn around like that, though. ?
