Hello,
I have a question: I sent a message to a person about trading. Part of my message: ".... Well, I have dowloaded ❤❤❤❤ I am not sure I will succeed. So, you can please write me here....". Hearts is the name of an application = in other words, the name of the application, which seems to be used for trading frequently, is converted to hearts.
- Are the names of the applications not allowed to be written in messages?
Thanks for any info.
SOLVED: Thanks to Cowslips and Ducktown2021. I very likely misspelled the word "kik" = no idea what I did but I am capable of winning a misspelling competition...

Thanks for any info. On the JHD Forum - as was the case on the old Supercell Forum - offensive words are replaced with hearts. I'm not aware of any app's name being treated as a censored word, but if you'd like to contact me by personal message and explain which app is causing concern I will look into it. Thank you

I think I know which app it is, the one we are using in the “trading” thread. KIK
Besides that I also get hearts for certain words, I my language those words are quit normal, but if they are in an English sentence they are not. I think there is a certain filter.

Strange, cause I don’t get hearts when I use the name of the application in the posting above.

Lily has contacted me by PM. The difficulty is indeed with Kik. On this forum censored words are replaced with hearts, with one heart per letter. As can be seen from the original post, the word had 4 hearts, so couldn't have been 'kik'. I wonder if there was a typo - or autocorrect - that caused the problem by inadvertently producing a word that should be censored. It's offensive words that do get censored; if that ever happens in a post it's recommended that you edit the post to remove the censored word. Thank you

Fascinating and thank you Cowslips for the explanation. I had no idea each heart denotes a letter of a censored word. IIRC, I've noticed hearts in several forum posts. I was amused because I erroneously thought posters were blowing kisses to each other.
Now I know better. ;-)

P.S. I must resist the urge to look at my posting history and see if I blew kisses inadvertently. LOL.

...SOLVED: Thanks to Cowslips and Ducktown2021. I very likely misspelled the word "kik" = no idea what I did but I am capable of winning a misspelling competition... ROTFL. Thank you Lily for the chuckle. :)

You are so right Lynn. I also did not know that the number of letters "blocked" are equivalent to the number of hearts. It is good to learn.
I am pretty bad when it comes to technology (this year at work we had to use Zoom mostly due to covid-19, you can't imagine the number of mistakes I made, e.g., sharing a slide, using the camera & microphone correctly, chat etc.).
Now I will try to explore the functions in the blog (how to add photos etc.) 😊
