The diary news for July just popped up on my farm, including free deco. Another busy month with lots of events and deco. Some new, some old but a good twist on the holiday, beach and carnival decos. I like it already. 🤘👍

July is again full packed with events.
As the Dairy News say:
Two county fairs (again with a special deco if you get the daily stamps).
And a task event during one of the county fairs.
To much for my taste.
And three new collections for the sticker book.
Many decos needed. And I am sure we get some only for real money. In one collection you can already see that there is the farm pass needed.
I am not much excited about July. Too overwhelming. Too much decos for the collections.

Watching the July dairy news is what prompted me to start the “be careful what you wish for” deco overload thread. I couldn’t catch enough detail in the video as the screens whizzed by to see how much of it I will actually be interested in. I’ll check in with Ricky Burnett who I assume will give me a clearer idea of what’s in store.
In the meantime, I’m having such a lovely day on the farm. I’ve finished both special June events, got all our derby horseshoes and the three bunnies, no valley to worry about, and I didn’t buy into the farm pass this month. I was delighted to see one of my favorite one-day events come up — the townie LEM event. So I’m focused on the always-needed LEMs. I won’t get all that I need for a new plot, but there’s hope on the horizon.

I stopped the video to have a look at the new collections from the sticker book.
Very much deco. Some are old but some of the old ones where diamond packs IIRC. Like the pool with the animals in it.
It is a nice deco. But not my taste for my farm. So why should I buy or try to get it for much effort now?
That's the downside from the stickerbook (for me).
If you want to complete a collection (for example because the prize for it is great) you also need to get decos you would never use or want.
I haven't read your thread yet. But I will have a look at it.
Ricky Burnett is a good choice to get the information. He did a good video about the diary news. I already watched it.
He shows all the decos. He put them all on the beach in the town in his video (using the devbuild).

For someone who enjoys farming, but has no interest in decos, the current trends in the game are very disappointing. Its time to take a break after many years of playing. I agree it's too much and definitely overwhelming. Especially in regard to the past. The events occur in a row. Often multiple events simultaneously. Look on the bright side instead, though. SC keeps HayDay running even though sometimes overshooting the mark. I appreciate it nevertheless. It's better than doing little or nothing.
BTW, we are all adults and shouldn't be affected from FOMO. You can do what you want and avoid what you don't want. Something I like very much bc it's a great asset. In my opinion one of the most important. I prefer to stay flexible and let things happen. When the time comes I consider what is worth participating and what I should skip. 🙂😎😇

Well... it's definitely impossible to please everyone, but I think Team Hay Day is trying their best. Yes, it seems like too much is happening at once, but on the other side no one has to do everything. Since I don't do derby because I think they can be very repetitive and even boring and annoying sometimes, the other events at least give me something to do and they offer some nice bonus rewards. If I don't like the decor or I'm not interested at all in the rewards, I just focus on my town and farm activities. But it's nice to have multiple options available to choose from. What I don't agree with is the way SC is pushing offers to encourage players to invest more and more real life money into the game. The greed is just too obvious sadly...

I don't like being forced to use SC ID. If they do what Clash did, which is what’s going on right now, then it doesn’t stop switching farm without SC ID. I’ll wait and see. |

Besides that a fair has started again, reward a deco. I have five scrolls as rewards, so that’s ok. And another 5 for the daily ribbons if I get them all.

I also noticed the available offers for real money. Tbh, I could have understood it if SC would have offered 1 deco for money. That is bearable if you are a deco fan AND very eager for completion of the current catalog. I wonder how many players will go along with this.  |
