Okay so I’m one of those impatient hey day players that finds the waiting to much so I opened my donut maker up early. I really tried to wait guys 😂. Anyway what I have found is I feel I’m going base donut making mad. Im not good with working method out so I’m reaching out to see if anyone has idea’s on how to keep up with the base donut and still be able to make enough of others. I’m a busy nana these days and any method that could achieve better results would be so appreciated.

I don’t have it yet so I’m not sure how long the production times are, but what I think I’ll do it make a queue full of the base ones first, then make one of everything (so the visitors don’t keep asking for them) and then make a whole bunch of the base ones again interspersed with a few of the longer types at the end of the queue, then keep repeating that process until I have enough of each. (Holy run-on sentence batman!).
I'm planning to start with a target of 20 base donuts and 10 of each of the others, then see if it needs to be adjusted over time.

I have not opened my machine yet but I like your idea Shepherdgirl. The fullbarnitis is getting worse and I upgraded three days ago🤔

I’ve been quite lucky, one of my friends obviously couldn’t wait for their machine and has been making and selling doughnuts so I’ve been able to buy some🍩🍩🍩

I’m waiting for the doughnut machine to unlock in due course, but I used one of my free Toms and had him running all day for the new products. That’s my base. 😁 Told you. Cheated. Shamelessly. (To cure my fullbarnitis, I opened land that didn’t need certificates.)

I bought the donut maker, it’s not ready yet. I think I’m going to use a Tom voucher from the farm pass. I’ll purchase 9 of each, possibly 18 or more base donuts. That’s what I usually do, when there’s a new machine in the new updates.

@all You have very good ideas, especially using Tom. My strategy will be to plant enough sugarcane, too, because it takes 2 for 1 white sugar. And then, how you wrote, make a plenty from the Plain Donut to be in good supply for the others. But I think, I also will use Tom. It's so clear, but sometimes you didn't get the most simple things.

Like Bostongirl, while waiting for the Donut maker to be built I used Tom on both my farms to get donuts, and gave him shorter naps too!, but I don’t consider that cheating, lol
I got some of each type of donut but got extra of the bacon and filled donuts, because I expect the bottleneck for me will be the other ingredients required for those two donuts in particular, rather than time and sugar required for the plain donut. (RD3KNIGHT’s video informed me that three bacon and 1 syrup are required for the bacon donut and that raspberry jam is required for the filled donut).

I used tom as well to buy most of the donuts yesterday. I usually open enough spots for each type of product and then produce one of each and keep the machine going all day to accumulate even numbers of each item.

I couldn’t wait either, so opened the donut machine early, making just base donuts. I also opened all the production slots. Meanwhile, i had a free Tom and free Tom speedup, so had twelve hours of Tom on the hour (I used a timer), so I could get all the complicated donuts, 9 of each. I got a few types with 18 donuts from Tom, with others that I made from the base donuts as they became available. 18 is my base number for most products, so this worked great. I’ll have to see how much the game requests donuts, and will adjust my donut stock up or down. I’m able to sell a few each day, but not many so far. Tom is my strategy for most new products! I had stockpiled sugar, so was able to make cotton candy on my own. With no Tom, I’m not sure what I would have done, as the need for base donuts is huge, or so it feels so me.

blackbritSame by me. I also "hired" Tom, because I think for the beginning it is easier and more comfortable to deal with. We have to wait and look - as you said - how many and which donuts are required in the future.

We have to wait and look - as you said - how many and which donuts are required in the future. I think my donut maker has run full tilt 24/7 since I opened it! It has a few of the specialty donuts in it, which slows it down, but especially in the day time here I find I have to make the base donuts as soon as a slot opens up. But I have helped a few of my lower level neighbors who have requested specialty donuts in their towns. I like doing that. It may take us a while before we see what the real donut needs are. Meanwhile, we make lots of base donuts!

I'm still waiting the construction to be complete on my donut maker. In the meantime, I hired Tom and sent him to get all the donuts so I'm fully stocked, and hopefully will not run out before my donut maker is up and running!

I'm waiting patiently till the donut maker is ready. This will be tomorrow early in the morning. In a few days we will able to manage offer and demand.
Luckily I have a babyfarm with level 85 which saves me of running short in cacao. I'm now very glad that I started my babyfarm a half year later after my main farm. That has often proven to be very helpful.

Hi 🌼GymGirl🌺In general you're right saying that it's hard to run more than one farm at once. But I think it depends how many time you can spend. If you are working for a living for example, time is limited, that's clear. I'm in a situation which is very comfortable. Since 3 years I mustn't work any more, I am in early retirement. So I'm able to spend so much time as I want to administer my farms.

donkeyfan I agree with you! If you are retired, like me, you have more time to spend Hay Daying!

@rbcrewser My babyfarm is only used for supporting my main farm. Usually I'm vistiting it one ore two times a day. That's enough.

I enjoy my activities and usually farm a couple if times a day but often not for long periods. The baby farm was really only started for certain things so I don’t worry too much about it.

I've been making 3 plain for every one special donut. It's been pretty easy to keep up. Thankfully the cook time is short enough for them all

I used a free Tom booster to get filled doughnuts and bacon doughnuts before my donut maker was ready because I had a townie request for them.
I bought the 2nd sugar mill but did not open more slots.
When my doughnut maker was ready yesterday morning, I opened 5 slots and made plain doughnuts all day, then crunchy, cream and bacon doughnuts over night. This morning back to plain doughnuts for one cycle, then queue up the crunchy, cream, and bacon.

I started an alternating method. For every “flavored” donut made, the next one is a base donut. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

I find the demand for donuts (any type) not that high. I can easily keep up with the donuts requests. I do have all slots open at both sugarmills and the donutmaker.
