Hello everyone,
we get another County Fair event.
Starts tomorrow!
🥳🎉
Special Reward will be the Spring Caterpillar. 🐛
You can have a look on Gregs Farm.
Got the information from Ricky Burnett.
There is a video with all information on his youtube channel.
Here are the information which I took from his video:
🗓 The County Fair should last 6 days.
This time we have some little changes.
We still fill the baskets and get the ribbons to collect the daily prizes.
There is still the lucky bonus.
But there are now some special prizes in the end of the event.
One of these will be the caterpillar. In the video you can also see some scrolls (5x) and a chick voucher.
If these are the prizes we will get, I don't know as it was only the DevBuild that Ricky uses. So there could be changes, when it goes live.
We have to collect the daily ribbons to get a County Fair Stamp for each day.
Only if you have all stamps you will be allowed to get the special prizes in the end.
If you miss a day's stamp, you can restore it later using diamonds.
Ricky shows it in his video and it was 40 diamonds for missing the 4th day. Very expensive.
He mentioned it could be different for different days. He didn't check this.
Seems like we need 400 points for each day.
You can find the County Fair calender (where you can see your earned stamps) by clicking on symbol: 🗓

I like the cute caterpillar, but I need those permits! 😭 Let me tell you a “secret”, as long as Hayday will exist you will need permits. Once you have all land we most likely will get new land where you need them. I go for the caterpillar because you don’t know if and when you will get a chance on it again. Long time players know how long it took for the campfire and tent to show up again. For me for instance I always take the deco, I don’t even reshuffle the derby rewards anymore to get the permits. Same with the puzzle pieces, knowing they are in boxes, WOF, valley and puzzle boats. Besides that two every week. Once you have them all you will get regular stuff that drops for me anyway wheating. 😉 |

I thought this was a "produce" or "collect" thing, but it appears to be just a "fill this order" thing, so if you have it in the barn, you just "deliver" it for ribbons..

Some baskets need a lot of items with either fish or lobster and the ribbon points are low. Besides that, why put puzzle pieces in 4 out of 5 rows for players that don’t need them anymore. The other rewards are, well it’s “free” permits. Vouchers, well have over 1000 each flavor.  And with regards to the 3 rewards when you reach daily goal every five days. In my language it says reward so not the plural rewardS. |

And keep in mind, when you trash a basket it will take 2hrs to refresh it, or 10 diamonds to have it straight away refreshed.

Then the ribbons of the baskets are gone. But you can still fill the baskets just for the XP and coins. "The choice is yours" - to continue after you reached the daily ribbons. Wow, some big changes coming in this second edition.
- after trashing, sool down time goes from 15m to 2h!!
- threshold changes from 250/500/750 to 200/400/800
- some basket request goes to high, even for developed farm (20 cream!!) but I also have request for 1 peony (20 ribbons)!!
My opinion:
- cool down time: That is no longer appealing and unnecessary I think. If I can only fill anther basket in 2h, I think I would be on another app or doing other things. My Hay Day session does not last that long
- threshold: if players were too excited to contibute a lot in the first edition, main causes could be the fewer down time after trashing , the request was lower, ther was no Koi event depleting farmer's barn (doing truck orders).
- request itself: it is much easier for me to spare 1 but not 3 or 4 items at one, as the time to replace them cold conflict with other farm task. So by increasing the amount a little, the impact is way more complex for farmers.
In summary, the first edition was much better.

Oh, I haven't realized that they even increased the thresholds. 15m - nice to know! I haven't found something about it in my tracking. But I was sure it was only some minutes. Who decided to do a cool down time of 2 hours? That is insane. What did this person think by doing that?! Even the trucks or the derby tasks refresh after 30 minutes. I agree with your opinion. I think they don't think about how much impact these changes have in real game play. I have little sympathy why they have to make every event harder and harder over the time. |

After reading the posts here about whether requests would hold over to the next day, I ran an experiment. I left the four tasks that only requested one item on the board and trashed the others. The four I saved held over and I filled them today. They didn’t have very high point counts, but I was satisfied enough that I will do even more trashing today to see if I can set myself up with requests that don’t require huge numbers of products (20 bananas?? 14 grilled tomatoes???). Having finished my tasks for the day, I’m going to use the technique I use for prepping my truck board: keep trashing until the board fills with things I like. What I haven’t figured out is whether the board will keep filling or if we run out of tasks in the daily queue. There’s no tally to show how many are left.
I only chose to go to the second prize today (permit) since I got the day’s check mark without going any further.

MiniGardener THX for the test. Yes, it's not clear for how long the board will keep filling new tasks. Since it takes always 2 hours for the next task the time for new tasks is limited anyway. Unless you shorten your bedtime. 😉

In the first edition , I was able to keep filling basket way over the amount needed to obtain daily objective. That's because I finally had a chance I can use my products for coins and XP, a few at a time. In dairy news presenting the event, no limit was mentioned. In practice , the limit would be farm capacity to fulfill basket after basket, similar to truck order.
For those who want to prep basket for a next day, a tip you can consider:
- keep your score under 800 so you could still see ribbon reward of new basket orders.
- once you have the set of 8 you want, save 7 for the next day
- you can then fill the 8th to reach today's last threshold.
Once you reched 800, basket stop showing ribbon points. I wish they could still show them somehow, greyed out maybe.
I really dislike being stopped filling baskets with the increased amount requested. Sometimes even worse than a boat order. County fair event was a nice sink to have for this game with the limited amount of various products. Now it becomes more a trashing game, like Blossom derby tasks.
Of course, i don't need trashing much to get 800pts, but what I want is to finally use my products I, even after reaching 800pts.

Yesterday I also got some good baskets so I went on and filled some baskets just for the points. But I agree, it is so different to the first episode. Some amounts are really high. I also trashed some and now waiting for the next ones. I think with the second set of baskets I will finish the 800 for today. But I agree, it is more a trashing game. Especially with the new refresh time. With 15m it was ok. You trashed some and it still was fast to play. But 2h isn't fun anymore. |

Frog’s tip about keeping the ribbon total under 800 until you have a nice board of seven baskets set up is great. Having the point value of the basket disappear after 800 messes up the process. I am very lucky. I will only have to fill baskets to reach the 400 point level every day until the end of the event. My third prize each day is vouchers. The LEM/permit goodies are at the 200-400 level. 😊
