Oktoberfest?

That’s what I thought it was.  Prepped five wheat bundles.  Went to collect.  It’s not making wheat bundles.  It’s feeding the animals.  Cue task expires while animals run around howevermany hours before they decide to eat, so I can feed them.  For 10 diamonds.  

Did you end up buying the task the next day matey. If so how was the outcome. I did try myself but only got a 170 task. going to check you farm to see where you placed your dirndl pig. ❤️ 

I do the thing where one sets machines producing for current tasks. Usually at night, collect in the morning, then collect at end of the day.

I prevent accidental collection by filling my barn with ore. Then when I go to do a task I select it, start production of a bar (as they use three ore) which makes room for the products, then collect the products (if it's more than three then I make room in my barn in additional ways).

I also had a strange thing happen, where I finished a task but none from the queue replaced it... there was just the torn-off thing on the board. I was worried no other queued tasks would appear when I finished the next one, but thankfully it was only that one spot (second from the right).

I love donkeys irl, there's a particular character named noddy on a local farm who's dam adorable! But the hayday ones are a bit too caricatured for me 😅

Another day of low pretzel rewards - 80,40,30 etc… no 500 or even a 300 for me ☹️ despite doing every task I can I don’t have a hope at the current rate of getting all rewards.
Not fun Hay Day, not fun at all - I’m going to read my kindle instead.

I am thinking I will stop instead of doing more. We are away this weekend for a family birthday and time constraints haven’t helped. Not opening my farm tonight to see the tasks. My husband has abandoned the event also. Not fun.

Yes, I did it again, but the outcome wasn’t so great. Just about 270 pretzels. Anyway, I got the second musician now. Let’s see, how many of us make it to the Oktoberfest table.

I am now giving up. All I have on the board are 30, 40, 80, and 90 point tasks and hard ones at that. No chance of getting all rewards. Not worth trying, I decided. I got enough stress in real life, I don't want stress here; that's not why I come into the game. All O-fest deco goes into storage. I don’t even want to be reminded of this disaster. And yeah, maybe the next one will be better. Good luck to all of you out there who are still pushing on to the end.

Yeah, so many are disappointed and I’m afraid I am too; that table is really cute. It’s sad, because it’s a cute and fun new theme, but the event isn’t.

I know Chris explained it’s a “regular event”, or something. To me that can explain nice rewards but not so many that they are bursting at the seams. It can explain only one week instead of 2 or more.

To me it doesn’t explain the need to make it harder (feels next to impossible).

-The high points still needed to reach the (shorter) end but in less time
-The lower point tasks that require long production times that interfere with other farming activities, and
-The MUCH lower available amount of tasks. I don’t keep track of stats, but it feels like there are about 25% of tasks available as before, so we can’t actually “afford” to trash long or low point ones. It feels like every task is needed. If we mess up on one, forget the fun reward at the end.

So, “normal” events aren’t supposed to be motivating and fun and are supposed to be a frustrating challenge?

(Well that explains some of the derbies, lol.)

I just keep hoping that HD will have accounted for all of this and will make the last three days be short, 500 point tasks so those of us still trying can actually make it worthwhile.

Like when chickens are scarce in the valley but start showing up more in the last week so we can breathe a sigh of relief. There still aren’t a lot of rewards in a chicken valley, but at least we can do enough to get one of the three big ones at the end and *maybe some extras.

I don’t want it to be like a global event with a cute reward that we end up missing in spite of a load of effort. If that’s “normal”, no thanks.

Dang, from reading my posts no one would ever know that I *hate being negative. 🙁. Just for the sake of the game, I have to be honest about how it makes me feel in the hopes that SC takes it into account in tweaking events. I know I’m not the only one feeling this way.

Special events or not, they should all be fun. Especially new and potentially interesting ones. I was looking forward to it as soon as I saw it. Then with little information, and the feeling of a couple of mistakes that make the whole thing questionable…it doesn’t need to be this way.

With each passing day I hate this event more and more. Going for the accordion then I need to take a hay day break for a while. Burned out here.

By the way: 
What happend to my babyfarm today: 
3 feeding tasks on the board. 

Feeding chicken - that is ok. 
Pigs - time consuming and must be planned well, but it is possible. 

And the third? 
The goats! Really! No Joke! 
45 goats! 

This Farm can only have a max of 8! 
If you start immediatly it takes 40 hours to solve this task! 

I would really like to know what the developers thought by doing this! 
No level depending tasks! 
To reach the end you can't delete to much tasks. The tasks can't be carried over to the next day without loosing a task. 

And then we should do 40 hours feeding goats. 

But wait! 
Immediatly isn't possible. There are also other task. 
What was it? Some productions and.... 
Chicken and pig feeding! 

How can it be that we get such an impossible combination?! 

If we have daily limited number of tasks, then it must be possible to solve them on that day. 
Otherwise it is useless to set a daily limit! 

Put away the limit, give us a realistic number of tasks so that the end can be reached even if some tasks must be deleted (a farm can't have all things immediatly. So it should be possible to delete some tasks that can't be done). And give realstic points for longlastig tasks like jam, bars and so on. (what we get here is ridiculous!) 
And then you can do an event like this again. 

Not so much prizes like the previous give away events is ok. That should be the different between give away and normal type. 

In the actual way I think it is the last event we played for the most of us. 

May I suggest a possible fix?

•If the issue with the original format was that•
people where finishing too quickly

•And the issue created by a non accumulating daily limit is that•
those who can't play consistently everyday due to real life commitments are missing out

•Surely the solution is•
A limited amount of tasks released daily BUT those tasks accumulate rather than being missed out on

E.g;

-Day 1 everyone starts with 15 tasks assigned

-Day 2 another 15 tasks added

-Day 3 another 15 tasks added

Etc, etc

Those who want to play daily can

Those who can only play sporadically can complete tasks as time allows

Finishing is still slowed by the limited daily task addition and sparodic players have the chance to not miss out aswell
