It’s easy to catch the big 10+ fishes all the time, but I get your points. We will see if we make it in the end. 😉 we are at 210 000 000 now. um, how?? most fish I catch are 2 to 3 pounds. occassionally I'll manage a 4 lb one. So yeah, I barely made the personal goal of 90 and then gave up, even though I wanted the deco. I just don't have enough fishing holes and would forget to make lures in between so was running out. I only have 4 fishing holes, only 20 spots in the tackle box. And I don't plan on expanding on that until after all my land is expanded. It's a shame we didn't make the goal though. I think it was a bit unrealistic of SC to think that was doable.

It’s disappointing to have to spend the next several days making lures to catch up again, for nothing. I thought of stopping but then saw we were close, so kept going, then we were behind again but I needed to sleep. Was hoping the other side of the world would suddenly start logging on and bring it home. 😊 On the one hand I’m surprised we missed it, as this was fishing, not trucks or boats. But on the other hand, when we start with 100,000 in a day, it’s difficult to see think that would be sustainable for three days as people hit their targets and start to run low on lures. I do agree it might have been a somewhat unrealistic target. Especially with the special event going on at the same time. I wonder how they choose the numbers for these global event goals.

If it’s to small or to big you won’t catch them. It also helps if you have a fish booster active that gives you additional weight for your caught fish. only works with an event.

Reason I ask is because you wrote that you’re not intending to expand your fishing spots until all your land is expanded. You will need a lot of permits, besides hundreds of LEMs for that. You will need, depending on your level and playstyle, additional fishing spots for ducktraps and lobstertraps if you want to proceed in the game. Extra fishing spots will give you a bigger change on getting fishes that you don’t have, and the associated diamonds as a reward. I personally think it’s a good investment, same with expanding your tacklebox. You can make lures overnight. but again, it’s how you would like to play the game. I plan in advance, and farm tactically myself.

I maxed my fishing spots at one point when I got bored with expanding the town and needed a break. I kind of focused on one thing at a time, then changed gears when I got frustrated or bored. It was town, fish, or land. Now my town has the maximum slots per building and the train has max space, that’s where I’m leaving it. The fishing area is fully open. I expanded the tackle box once or twice when I had the materials (but not enough for anything else) and needed room in the barn, lol. Now I switch between barn, silo or land, depending on which materials I get the most of, first. Extras I put in the shop because I have no room to store them, and I KNOW someone else out there needs them. The fishing area is really important to expand as you go, so maybe that technique might work for you. Give it a big push for a while, stop before you get fed up, and take a break to do something else. Then come back to it later. All the land will literally take years, so I hope you don’t wait THAT long. abidi

I plan in advance, and farm tactically myself. Level 47 currently, and maybe not *all* my land, but my focus on this game has always been the farming. It's relaxing. I love decorating, and I like the no-pressure aspect of not having to complete boats or trucks or town orders if I don't want to. I currently have four fishing spots open, and after reading the other helpful thread that Tahoe 🐾 provided, I may try to open up one more spot on the fishing, that spot 9, just so I can get those heavier fish, since so far my max is just over 4 lbs. But for now, my farm feels crowded and I'm much more focused on using my LEMs to open up farmland that either doesn't require permits or, for those that do, has a decoration or is in a spot I particularly want. I've already started on the farmland across the road, the stuff with the deco!, and am not opening land "in order". But this allows me to have three distinct separate areas of my farm, and I may start in on a fourth off the side road.

But this allows me to have three distinct separate areas of my farm, and I may start in on a fourth off the side road. Sounds familiar to me. I have nearly the same approach. First of all comes relaxation, not til then other things like feeding animals, running machines and so on.
I agree with the comments from ducktown2021 and MommySnooks, but I like to add something. You are level 47 currently, ducktown, MommySnooks and myself are on a three-digit level. That is the difference. When I was in your level I also liked decorating and relaxing, but the problem is having to many issues to attend to.
I only name some of them....way to less coins, barn and silo mostly used to capacity, always lacking for LEMs and so on. Additional you will need a lot of machines, they are becoming more and more expensive. This are facts, you can't neglect it. Lower levels are more struggling until they reach a point when most of the named facts are done.
Some things are never done, like the permits, or the space in barn and silo. OK, we have a limit, but it's hard to achieve. What I mean is to be aware of this. Back to the fishing ground. 4 slots are not much for your level. I have a baby, currently level 45, and I have 11 slots open. Don't get me wrong, I won't suggest you do the same, it's not realistic since you are certainly lacking the necessary LEMs. But that's not the point.
What I'm trying to tell you is that you mind keeping a balance from everything. It's difficult, I know, and here comes the suggestion from MommySnooks into play. Focus only one part of the game. Do this how you like it. Then change. It takes some time, you have to be patient, but it's worth the effort.
Keep also in mind you don't have to abandon those things which please and ease you most. Relaxing, decorating, and what else you like. I wish you huge stamina and success. If you need help, tell us. You are welcome to my friend list, if you want. In case you are interested tell me your SC-ID via PN. I'm glad to help, since I'm rarely lacking for LEMs.
