Well that was a surprise. I was ready to send the boat this morning away but it only required 4 peacock eggs - 1 per crate🤔🤔🤔 Luckily I had enough of the other requirements. Next boat wants cherry ones.

From some observation in Daily Dirt, not all level are covered so please take this with a sack of salt. Also to sum up a few ideas expressed above: At their unlock level, each crate would require 1 or 2 eggs only. As players level up, the amount of egg per crate increased. Then there are that specific player base with pretty high level (playing for years and got quite experienced with the game). I'm talking about 150+ without farm pass XP, or even 200+ if farm pass XP counted. At these level, amount of egg per crates are roughly: Eggs amount observed | Around level 150 ish and above | Chocolate Bunnies per egg / per boat | Indigo Egg: from 8 to 12 per boat | 3 crates of 3 to 4 each ; 4 crates of 2 to 3 each; | 20 ; 160 - 240 | Cherry Egg: from 4 to 6 per boat | 3 crates of 2 each; 4 crates of 1 each | 25 ; 100 - 150 | Royal Egg: from 6 to 8 per boat | 3 crates of 2 each; 4 crates of 1 to 2 each | 25 ; 150 - 200 | Peacock Egg: from 3 to 6 per boat | 3 crates of 1 to 2 each ; 4 crates of 1 each | 30 ; 90 - 180 |
Respective production time non stop to fill own boat without flagging: - Indigo Egg: 4 to 6 hours - Cherry Egg: 3 to 4,5 hours - Royal Egg: 6 to 8 hours - Peacock Egg: 4,5 to 9 hours Naturally, I would expect most players flagging Indigo Egg (which is also most efficient Chocolate Bunnies wise) instead of the others since it's not easy to catch up. Low to medium level (let's say under 100) would be able to manage their boat, and when they need help, the amount is acceptable to spare so they have bigger chance to get crate filled. However, those at lv150+ would have spent more time in social media talking with other players and comapre their boats, would also be the most , in my opinion, disadvantaged at this Easter boat event (level discriminated!). Slot costs: diamond cost are the same as Gift Wrapping Station while time available is cut to half. In other words, extra slots cost double for the same amount of time they are available. I'm surprised Supercell didn't think about scaling it down, especially when they did for Mastery time. Well, slots are worth more than Mastery time, finishing eggs 10 minutes earlier doesnt' make any difference if players is away 4 hours . By comparison with data from Gift Wrapping Station, there is definitely more item required for the one at production time = 60 minutes (Royal Egg/ Stacked Gift). I can't help to think about the Themed Derby we once had .

8 royal eggs, (4 crates of 2 each) farm level 166. The eggs take one hour each to make, so I made four while the boat was coming, and now the boat is going to sit there for another four hours while I make the other four eggs. I’m not enjoying this event, so I’m glad the only prizes I really care about are the permits.
My thoughts about this event:
As Frog pointed out, the cost for opening additional slots is the same as it was for the Christmas event, but we’ll only have use of the machine for half the time. I thought the prices were exorbitant for the Christmas event, but they’re twice as exorbitant now.
Actually they’re more than twice as exorbitant, because the boats are requiring significantly higher quantities of eggs than they did of Christmas gifts. So we can’t earn nearly as many bunnies per day as we did hollies. That means that the price-to-performance ratio is a lot worse than it was for the Christmas event.
Of course it was my choice to open two extra slots both times. This time I did so without realizing how many eggs would be needed (and without taking into account that the machine would be there for only two weeks), so I didn’t realize that my diamonds weren’t going to go as far as they did the last time. In future events of this type, I doubt I’ll open any extra slots—unless we’re told that the slots will be there every time the same machine comes back. (Or maybe they’ll give us a major discount on opening slots we’d previously opened, along the lines of the Maggie discounts for buying back previously bought designs.)
To sum up, I think the prices for opening slots are too high, and I think the quantities of eggs being asked for are too high. On the positive side, waiting 6 to 12 hours to fill each boat means I’m not filling as many boats as I was for the Christmas event, so I’m not getting burned out the way I did then. But of course I’m not getting as many rewards as I was then either.

I have had three boats requesting cherry eggs, each with 3 crates of 2. (So 6/boat, as with most of the others. I think the one peacock boat I had was 3 x 1. Not entirely sure, as I’m not recording it.
In this lot of statistics, I might have missed it, but…did they reduce the amount of bunnies required for a reward, as compared to holly?

This is the worst event so far since I have been playing this game. I have been trying to play the game like I normally do. Well that didn’t work. I did the town and it asked for everything that was needed to make the eggs. I signed back in to play the derby this week. I don’t remember having this much trouble with the Christmas event. It has taken up too much of my time and diamonds.😬🤦♀️👎🏻

In this lot of statistics, I might have missed it, but…did they reduce the amount of bunnies required for a reward, as compared to holly? I happen to have taken screenshots of the holly catalog, so I just looked them up. I was taken aback to see how much they’ve increased the number of bunnies required for a reward, as compared to holly—at least for the expansion permits, puzzle pieces, and blueprints. In the holly catalog, each of those items cost 200 hollies the first week, 250 the second week, 300 the third week, and 400 the last week. With the bunny catalog, those items all start at 400 each. The price doesn’t increase the second week, but still that’s very steep inflation.

That was all I could do when it took eight hours to make the eggs that one of them required. But I’m enjoying the more relaxed pace compared to the Christmas event, so I think I’ll stick with two boats a day also, even if it’s possible to do more.

It really helps now when you have babyfarms. I use all of them now to flag egg crates. The boats will be at the docks until they depart. Friends can also fill them with the eggs they have. There is no difference in number bunny’s you get by filling your own boat or someone else.

I could use my baby farm but it is too time consuming doing two farms. I find this anyway. from what I have seen most of the help requests are for eggs and they are not getting filled quickly at all. Like LuvHayDay my boats sit there whilst the eggs are being made.

I have decided to take a relaxed mode in this egghunt.
1. I play like I normally do, but remember to start two new eggs. As mentioned the extension is too pricey for such a short event, so I only have two slots. 2. I send off all boats, where I can't fill the other crates. It takes too long to wait for an semifilled boat to depart. 3. If I can fill the non egg crates I do so, then I see, if I can fill the egg ones, if not I flag them, so others have a chance to fill them. 4. I go and find other peoples crates to see, if I can fill them. Unlike the Christmas event a lot of farmers flag the egg crates this time.
Well that is my way of trying to get the decorations, that I would love to get, but without stressing over it. I hope others will find it helpful.

I’m getting a requirement of 8 Royal Eggs on my level 229 farm, so it’s hard to get as many chocolate bunnies on the big farm. My level 75 farm has about 250 more bunnies already as it can make indigo eggs (8 each time) in the four hours between boats. Thanks to donkeyfan, I was able to get an extra 60 bunnies on the big farm when I made a few indigo eggs and filled a crate he had opened.
I’m not sure it makes sense to focus on boat crates at the big farm. And with all of you, I too think they have messed this one up.

Common perception is that this event is much harder than the Christmas was. I think one reason may be that due to the shortened time (2 weeks instead of 4) SC had to tighten everything, the ingredients e. g. and the amount of eggs per crate. Very difficult to keep up without opening more slots on the machine. But I noticed that the players are according to this more reluctant as they don't know whether the additional slots endure. Probably not. That makes is still more difficult.

I'm finding it about the same difficulty wise in comparison to the Christmas one.
I'm making eggs for my own puzzle boats
And eggs for my 2 baby farms boats (that I then let sit till they just leave)
with a few eggs left over to distribute to those asking for them in my friends list
Bought my first expansion permit, and I'm most the way to affording the pair of expansion permits
The big difficulty for me has been Cherries....should have stocked Waaaaaaaay more 😆 but baby farms are helping with that too

I'm finding this event quite enjoyable. I've spent no diamonds for extras slots or to speed production. Just filling my boat I've gotten almost 1300 chocolate bunnies so far. Seems to be a good pace and I'm getting deco and permits that I wanted.

My next boat is here, level 229. It’s asking for 12 indigo eggs - four crates of three each. 240 total points. That’s six hours of production at 30 minutes per egg. And four hours between boats except now, when it gets to sit there for two hours while I make the rest of the easiest eggs. This event is silly, silly, silly for higher level farms. I guess they want us to use diamonds to speed up the eggs! SC has miscalculated. This is NOT fun. Supercell, are you paying attention?

There’s no way I’m using diamonds to speed up the eggs.

Four crates each wanting one cherry egg. Level 229. 25 bunnies per crate so 100 total. Much more manageable. Other than the need for more cherries on the farm than usual, as BauldersGate notes! 😂

BauldersGate...ooo I love your park So inviting, perfect child toys plus the tables and chairs set up! Like an elegant little lounge with the exquisite green water tiles I am happy you were able to get the ride on bunny : )
One thing, I sure wish they were just adding to the catalog, but no! They close half and open half...need to think!!
